huh Crazy. I thought that was just with Mimic. I suppose it makes sense, what with her stealing memories from whoever she touches. I still don’t think she can with magic, but I can’t 100% say for sure.
I’m really not so sure on that. They still regularly cross over with the other Marvel titles, including big ones like Champions, Avengers, etc... with multiple mutant characters holding memberships on those teams. Granted, they don’t have near the amount of merchandise available compared to non-mutant Marvel…
They’ve typically balanced it in a few different ways. The biggest being that she (usually) can’t control it, and the longer she’s in phsyical contact with a person the more dangerous it is. It can put a victim in a coma or possibly even kill them, which is something she doesn’t want to do since she’s on the side of…
No, any powered person usually. That’s how she got her most iconic power set in fact. Stealing Carol’s.
heh I’ve actually been saying the same thing about Captain Marvel, oddly enough. It’s an alright film, but I feel like it wouldn’t be doing nearly as well as it is without it being a part of the MCU. I feel if it had been released completely on its own and cut off from any already build universe it would be doing…
As much as I enjoyed TFA and TLJ, they still rely pretty heavily on a lot of the standard Star Wars tropes everyone is familiar with, just tweaked here and there. Solo was definitely the most different from the other new Star Wars stuff, which really felt like a step in the right direction for me. I’m hoping they…
I would probably put Wesley a little above Chekov on the annoyance scale, but that is more because of the behind the scenes stuff with him being a bit of a creator’s pet for Roddenberry. Not the best reason I know, but that’s how it is for me and those two.
I also get the feeling that Shooter is just one of those guys who “knows” he’s smarter than others, and is willing to prove he’s right whenever he’s given the chance. Wanting to prove he has a bigger dick than Claremont and knows the comic better than him = Jean is back.
Since it seems the decision was made months ago, I’m willing to bet Horn and Iger realized pretty quickly how much they fucked up and just wanted the heat to die down. Announcing this the same week Captain Marvel killed it in the box office seems pretty appropriate.
The surprise cameo at the end didn’t even bug me. I don’t watch any of the animated series or read the books, so when I have to get into the EU to understand something in the omvie that usually annnoys the hell out of me.
That sounds right? I think just a week back he said it was still happening.
Sorry. Transformer movies. :p
I hadn’t thought of that, but I 100% agree with you. He has a great handle of the weirder parts of the MU and he would fit like a glove.
agh I had forgotten about the harassment Wheaton had to deal with. Poor bastard.
That’s a good point. This hits the week Captain Marvel does gang busters in theaters... interesting.
Cernovich might get so depressed he’ll not punch a woman today.
It’s sad because I avoided Solo in theaters because I’m just kind of burned out on Star Wars stuff, but it ended up being pretty enjoyable. It may have worked out better as a mini series or something, but I feel like moving the release date would have probably helped a lot yeah.
I’m not saying there wasn’t any legimitate criticism for Jedi, but there was also a concerted effort to bomb RT from trolls just like with Solo. Of course in the case of Solo it didn’t do too hot, but that was unrelated to any trolling attempts.
I really love the idea they can share talent sometimes when it works. Like, have the Russos do a Sgt. Rock movie or Waititi do a Blue and the Gold flick.
