Oh, I agree. I think the success the original helped bring 5E when it was brought back into use proves that it did it’s job for both WotC and 3PP. There’s not really a benefit to the community itself with this new one.

Oh, my trust is still fried. They have a long way to go before it’s gained back at this point. Like, going over this release some more, they’re still set on getting rid of the original OGL and replace it with this. I know the original isn’t perfect, but I’m still not keen with that direction in the slightest.

On the surface, it does appear to be a step in the right direction. I’m not sure how you playtest an OGL, but it’ll be interesting to see. Maybe this is the time for rules lawyers in the community to REALLY shine.

Yeah, I had always suspected it, but hey, confirmation! heh

Now playing

Shorts Guy has apparently gotten a lot of leaks over the past few weeks that have checked out in the end, so I’m curious what the next video will bring.

On the topic of feedback.

This response also doesn’t say anywhere that they’re going to listen or act on any feedback. Just take it and do whatever.

It’s still just a lot of nothing that WotC is saying. They aren’t actually committing to anything.

Wonderful timing, WotC. 10/10. No notes.

This is turning into a pretty big clusterfuck. lol Hasbro thinking D&D is under monetized, hiring a bunch of tech bros, and setting the ground for microtransactions, subscription based service, and other forms of shit baggery. I kind of get why people are freaking out a bit about 6E.

It’s a 1440 movie, which makes it even worse. Jesus.

That’s a shame about it stalling, especially for that reason. I’m not super into The Witcher, so I wasn’t aware of too many similarities. Maybe it’s the hair?

I still hold out hope some service in need of a killer fantasy app picks Elric up. Bring in someone like a JMS as the showrunner, and you could have a stew going.

Because I read a synopsis of every episode after I stopped watching halfway through episode 2. A mystery box is super obvious to see in action, which is what the show is. “Oh, who could this person be? Or the mysterious comet person? Maybe he’s two or three people? And what’s up with all these other people? Keep

I could look past some of the dodgier effects if the story was at least interesting. Same with not being able to use The Silmarillion, but the entire thing is just the worst kind of mystery box style writing. I gave up after about one and a half episodes and reading up on how the show goes. I don’t know where the

Like, I really want to see this movie, but I’m also not surprised at this being the outcome. Someone owns these characters, that’s the reality, and trying to bull rush your way through the law isn’t always a great idea. I’m really not sure how this movie would fall under fair use based off what we currently know

What is happening? Did I have a stroke a week ago or something?

No, they’ve both done some pretty fucked up things.

heh Oh, I’m sure the players will settle on something like that very much. Life... finds a way.

Oh, I get it. I’m just pointing out that it’s an odd name change they’re going with. The “not edition” will just be called One Dungeons and Dragons (or just Dungeons and Dragons). As someone who used to work in marketing, I get it from that side of things, but as a gamer, it’s just kind of silly. It’s a new edition,
