Book theft does not surprise me in the slightest. I grew up in a small town in TN, and it seemed like it would happen about 1/10th of the time with any book I was interested in checking out.

The comics it is based on are some of my favorite stuff that's been put out the past decade. It's an action comedy series that has a great sense of humor about itself, and it's just plain fun to boot. Sad the talking cosmonaut dog isn't in it. Ahhh maybe the sequel. Heh

You'll love it. The comic is a comic for not comic fans. More of an action comedy space adventure. Plus, the movie is directed by James Gunn to boot.
