A lot of commenters are really missing the point that the mothers of Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin*, Eric Garner, Mike Brown, and on and on and on managed not to attack any reporters even when they began flocking to report on their children’s deaths. There is another factor besides grief here, and it’s called whiteness.

Her? really? I mean good for her, I just... I just don’t get it. I would never see her in a cast list and be like “Oh yeah that is gonna be good” but then again her charms aren’t aimed at me I guess.

Grief didn’t turn that woman into a racist sack of shit.

I don’t know how this was disrespectful. Victor and Hayes were reporting facts from across the street of the scene of the incident. How else are they supposed to go about this?

You completely hated the person being racially abused and assaulted while doing her job?

Why hate the reporter? She did nothing wrong and remained totally calm while being hugely insulted and assaulted.

Exactly. She apparently posted about how tragic it would be if legislation robbed her of the ability to protect her family. I see that tragedy and raise you this.

Not sure I see the annoyance about this here. IF we assume this report is worth anything, then it shows that men spend more time at work and in leisure because women spend more time on chores and WAY more time on childcare. That sounds about right.

It’s the fact that everything in her life seems to be perfectly manufactured and she always seems to place herself as the victim, that’s what bothers me.

Yes. 100% You could kind of get away with that stuff back in my day where you’d need to go find an almanac or reference book to find a hard to spell proper name. But we’ve got Google now. Either Hudson didn’t know her weird-ass phonetic spelling was wrong, or didn’t care to take 2 seconds to figure it out. Either way,

I would respectfully suggest that understanding that nothing posted online is ever private is a more vital life skill than knowing how to correctly spell Ta-Nehisi Coates.

I think a basic rule of thumb for every job is that you can blow off as much steam as you want, but never put it in writing.

Seriously, I guessed their mistake may be writing it down somewhere, but I honestly don’t give a crap about teachers venting.

I have every sympathy for these teachers. Little Hudson is a fucking idiot.

Whatever, teachers aren’t saints and everyone has to blow off steam about their work. It’s also a well known fact that teenagers are awful (I can say that, having once been an awful teen myself). Maybe work on your firewalls or something.

You know, if it were just teachers making sarcastic, exasperated remarks and blowing off steam, I would think nothing of it. But to refer to children as fucking idiots and hope they fail—while being part of the group that can actually make that happen—goes too far. I had a teacher who had it out for in 7th grade and

But when everybody’s like, ‘It’s a cash grab?’ Everything ever made in Hollywood since the beginning of time is a cash grab. That’s why the original Ghostbusters existed. It wasn’t an altruistic thing.

This. I am so confused.
