Wife’s car has fancy dual-zone climate control. Her side gets set to 72/73, mine gets set to 68/69, summer and winter.

Me too!  Mine was a ‘90.

Yeah, mine was just over 700 and I got 2.75% on my wife’s Fusion.... with only $1K down.

Maybe if they going PAY me $6K to take it off their hands...

Man, I had a first-gen SHO and loved it... couldn’t wrap my head around the 2nd gen having more power, more torque, and being *slower* because mine was a 5MT.  Also, it’s ugly.  CP.

Yup.  Yamamoto was no dummy.

That’s pretty much spot-on. Half the population of the U.S. limited their pool of personnel.

Um... duh?

Damn that’s fast. My old 1990 Mustang LX 5.0 5-speed could only manage 149 (according to magazine tests), and while I consistently pegged the speedo at 140mph on the Autobahn, and the RPM’s would keep climbing, I never really knew exactly *how* fast I was going at that point.

Hence my username.

This seems to be a common misconception among poorer folks... I know a lady at work that paid $10K for a 2012 Dodge Avenger with 140,000 miles on it. When I did a double-take and said “You paid *how much* for it?!” She said “Well, your credit is probably better than mine.”

Uh... because my 3 year old Fusion had less than 1/3 the mileage on it, still had factory warranty on the drive-train, and still smelled new?

I did - He’s got a Nissan Versa. The Fusion is mine.

That’s because SUV’s suck for real-world cargo capacity. Oh, they might have the cubic inches, but the trunk in our Fusion swallows the baby’s stroller, diaper bag, extra base, our luggage etc. just fine.

Yup, and it’s entirely do-able. I’ve ridden in the back with the baby while he and his wife were up front. I’m not huge, but I’m not tiny either. There was room on the other side for another person as well.

Snowcrash?

Yep. This statement has always confused me. My son says he wants a bigger car because they have a baby now... and what they have is a perfectly serviceable small sedan.

If I could’ve found a wagon in my price range, I would’ve bought one. As it was, we were shopping Mazda5's instead... but since they’ve been discontinued, the asking price was above NADAGuides price on every one we looked at, unless it was unacceptably rough, and our bank won’t finance above blue book. So we bought a

Seriously?! CP.

Heh... not from me. I’ve had a Mustang, four Tauruses, a Mercury Grand Marquis, and currently my wife’s car is a ‘14 Fusion 1.5L EcoBoost. Loved most of ‘em.
