Oh fuck that. I bought one pair... ONE. PAIR. Of Sperry Topsiders 30-ish years ago. Most uncomfortable shoe I’ve ever owned. Took a hammer to the back of the heel to try to make it more pliable. Didn’t work. Fuck Sperry. In the ass, with a running chain-saw.

Heh... some of both. Scrolled back up and went “Oh, ‘92, not 2002"

To the Grocery Store, and Beyond!

It could have - if Erik Buell was allowed to use/develop some other powerplant than a Hardly-Ableson Sporty-in-the-50's engine.

Yeah. Lucky me, I already bought a Fusion 1.5L EcoBoost.

I had a ‘77 316 (europe only) when I was stationed in Germany. It was an anemic tin can. This won’t be anemic, but it’ll still be a tin can.

It is. It’s so easy that I routinely did it in San Francisco, in a Toyota pickup that had manual steering and transmission. There’s nothing hard about parallel parking if you can grasp the geometry of it, it just takes a bit of practice.

In this particular article... no. The amount was fine. In some other articles, it’s gotten kind of ridiculous how many photos of shit on the car that I don’t care about that I need to scroll past.

I love a lot of the songs Dylan wrote, particularly when someone else sings them.

Epic rant. True, all of it.

Is there an echo in here?! Just kidding. ;D

So... I have to have TV access that I pay for. Which I don’t, anymore. Sorry pal. As much fun as it’ll probably be, I’ll wait for the pirated video.

Did you really just compare a 96-70 Mach 1 to the 2003? Which one would I rather drive? REALLY?!

Some models were jointly designed, and shared a lot, but it’s disingenuous to say “Ford with a Mazda badge” unless you’re talking 20 years ago.

Sales dipped more than 20% last year. That’s a significant chunk. Personally I believe they should keep it and ditch the Taurus, and maybe put some R&D into the Fusion to make it more appealing.

We don’t have a Fusion Sport. We have a Fusion SE with the 1.5L EcoBoost. Around town we typically see 20MPG (which is AWESOME for a person that was a child in the 70's) and on the freeway/highway at reasonable speeds we see far better. With a 16 gallon tank, our car has a 600 mile range.

Comparatively, they are. Our Fusion just delivered an average of 36 MPG (measured) over a 1,000 mile road trip. The Escape we rented for a 300 mile trip two months ago barely managed 30 at similar speeds.

OH MY GOD NO.

We just drove our 6-speed ‘14 Fusion SE on 1,000 mile round trip through most of Arkansas and Missouri, through rolling hills most of the way. Once or twice the car hunted back and forth between 5th and 6th gear, but that was it.

Yeah... romantic.
