Too easy to blame autopilot. Gonna have to call...

Somehow doubtful, as at this point Autopilot has crashed more than me.

My car was rear-ended by a human driver in a Dodge Stratus last week. I’m available for interviews for the forthcoming big article you’ll want to publish about it.

This is news because no one else in any other type of car has ever hit a stationary vehicle on the side of the road. Ever. Got it. Damn you Tesla!!!

Still love my Model X.

Well... so far it’s;

This is some high grade user error here. It is easier for the driver to blame the car when the law says it is his job to drive his own car.

I’m surprised Tesla hasn’t “reminded” this guy that they log everything. Expect a hurried statement that he was “mistaken” and didn’t actually have the car in autopilot.

Given the damage on that Tesla, how it’s wedged under the firetruck, it’s a safe bet that the car did start braking at some point.

Five bucks says it turns out she’d turned it off.

Ok, I’ll be the first to say it. I completely don’t believe this guy. I can just see Musk confirming via twitter that home boi here had disabled auto pilot and was just a dumbass.

claims the car was in its semi-autonomous Autopilot mode when it happened

Tesla owners saying their car was in “Auto-Pilot” during crashes is the equivalent scapegoat to Trump claiming #FakeNews on everything that becomes inconvenient to him.

My main takeaway from this, other than the obvious “people are stupid”, is that modern cars are crazy safe. This dude slammed into a stationary object at 65 miles per hour and “refused medical attention”. Thats amazing.

May I add:

Now dunk it.

Pro-tip to the fucknuts at ICE: Picking up a 40+ year old white doctor with two decades-old legal dings is not going to make you look any less racist and is definitely not making you look like you’re out there rounding up ‘bad hombres’.

The ‘Tragedy Of The Commons’ isn’t supposed to be an inevitable economic rule. It’s a lesson in conservation and socioeconomics.

Did you miss the bit about the pesticide making more republicans?

Thinking about the future is antithetical to being a conservative. That’s why people get more conservative as they get older. Old people have less future to worry about and more past to obsess over.

The dumbest part of this is that, from an economic standpoint, there’s more to gain in the long term by preserving salmon stocks than there is in using these chemicals. There are other options for fertilizers, these compounds are easily replaced with minor economic impacts. Salmon bring in tourists and food from
