Uber lost the ability to say it was just a side gig when they started leasing cars to their drivers.

In the US there have only ever been two people on a bike share bike ever killed. One in New York, one in Chicago. When I lived in Chicago I rode their bike share to work most days and felt like drivers treated me with more space on that than my personal bike.
This is the goddamn dumbest take ever.
Not only why would you accept a promise from Pence - why that promise? How is learning about a kid’s death a day after it happens some sort of concession? “Hey another kid died. No, we still don’t care.”
Utah certainty doesn't have its shit together sadly. The point I was making is that the judges don't even read the warrants they're signing off on. It's a rubber stamp process for the cops to do whatever they want.
That is insane. It’s not even difficult to get a warrant. In Utah (I am assuming other states are similar) over half of warrants are approved in under 3 minutes. This also seems to open another door for the police to abuse the citizenry, which strikes me as ironic coming from the small government side of the…
Wait you honestly think that he changed the policy because he thought we would need extra soldiers to fight a war and couldn’t afford to lose any to the NFL? Despite the fact that the service academies have no pro prospects?
Right, but the other idea is that who cares? They're going to school on the taxpayers dime because it is training them for their military service. If they want to play professional sports they can go to any other school.
Here’s one case where I totally agree with Trump. John McCain sucked.
I’m having a hard time believing that is enough to sink someone’s campaign today.
Unless they changed the Aviary, you’re probably thinking of Alinea (or Next).
Think really really hard - are there any differences between the Trump children and Obama’s kids? You can do this, I believe in you.
We’re probably better off keeping a large group of the NEETs in their parent’s basement, away from the general public.
Oh man I just did this. I booked one that had a single one-star review. The review seemed to be overreacting to something silly and the place looks fine in the pictures, is cheap, and in a perfect location.
The problem with that is sometimes they don’t come on when they should. In my Mazda they never seem to come on in the rain or snow, even when it makes a big difference to other cars being able to see you.
Is there demand for them? I would be curious how many people think about their headlights when buying a car. I certainly never knew that different trims had different headlights, and I’m not sure I even knew headlights were rated by the IIHS. If other people are like me they know that you get ‘normal’ headlights or…
Wayfair another example of late stage capitalism. A company that continues to go up in value despite having never turned a profit. Last year they lost more than half a billion dollars. They’re like the Uber of furniture - no viable business model and no plans to change that fact, but apparently it doesn’t matter.
Hahah it also goes 0-60 in less than one second. Somehow it takes 4 seconds to go 0-60-0 which is not really how physics works.
I read his book before I knew that he was a fucking lunatic and it left me with the impression that he was a fucking lunatic. And it was an autobiography...
Yeah this seems like not a Japanese thing, other than they may be slightly more orderly. Everywhere you go you stand on the right and leave the left open for people who want to walk. It’s like driving - the left lane is for passing.
