Those exact descriptions were all over the place last night.
Those exact descriptions were all over the place last night.
But A) those things could be true, and B) people did the same thing with Draymond Green, and to a MUCH greater extent.
I’m genuinely asking, as the article is unclear. What evidence was withheld?
This is a pretty complicated case, both morally and legally, but I have a feeling commenters here won’t treat it that way.
I actually don’t agree that it’s cut and dry as everyone else, but I do agree that there seem to be different standards for different QBs.
There has to be gray area when it comes to a QB as a runner, and when the QB slides, and where the tackler was in relation to the start of that slide has to matter.
The forcible part seems kind of silly, but I find it very tough to dispute that it was a late slide, and I don’t believe the defender was aiming for his head. This non-call actually seems the least egregious of the ones missed on Newton.
That would depend whether your actions were threatening to a degree that the person was justified to defend themselves.
You can’t push someone, or slap them for being in front of you, and verbally confronting you. You’re kinda talking out of your ass. It’s okay to admit that she fucked up, and he fucked up worse.
Yeah, you seem to be viewing this differently than nearly everyone else. She clearly put her hands on him first. Prior to any fake punch.
I actually think they both acted criminally, but he’s the bigger asshole.
I think he should be charged, but are you disputing that she hit him first, or are you just disputing him claiming it felt like a man hit him?
I agree with this take, but I’m still confused why she wasn’t also charged with assault?
OK, so it is fucking nuts to react that forcefully to a woman who hits you in the face like she did, so while I can easily acknowledge that Mixon should still have been charged, what is the possible argument for why she wasn’t charged with assaulting him as well? Is it because it would then make charges against Mixon…
I like this comment.
I’m disappointed by proxy. Damn.
I did not comment on the story. I assumed it was more likely than not he was guilty as assault is much more common than false charges, like I said.
It is stupid when applied to public perception if we have more facts of the case, I agree.
No, I agree you’re meaningless as an individual, but the thinking is problematic as a society.
“We are usually right.”
