I’m not ‘faulting him.’ He’s an adult, and should do whatever brings him the most joy. However, I reserve the right to think his decision is lame, and wish he found more joy with a different decision.

Here come the ‘hot take’ hot takes....

This is the correct opinion, but Deadspin writers are terrified of being accused of giving a ‘hot take.’

Yeah, he’s responding to fucking eggs on Twitter with a take just as un-nuanced in the other direction, which is boring as shit.

You definitely do sound extremely crazy.

To be clear: I’m perfectly comfortable with someone hating Simmons, and won’t try to talk you out of it. He’s hit or miss with me, for sure.

People have become so concerned with giving a ‘hot take’ that they end up going so far in the other direction, and it ends up being just as boring. That’s what Barry did, and what writers everywhere are doing. There are multiple takes just like his, and what’s funniest about them is they all seem to think they’re the

I look at the word ‘shit stirrer’ as someone who is literally writing things, regardless of whether they believe them, in order to get clicks and piss people off. People like Skip. I’m simply saying Simmons isn’t like that.

Yes. Barring an injury or one star fucking another star’s wife, they’re almost a literal lock for the championship.

The ‘anti-hot take’ has become the new ‘hot take.’

No, your first point is clearly implying that they’re similar in that they’re both trolls attempting to stir shit up. I pointed out that that is not really the case with Simmons at all. While he’s often wrong, he’s not simply getting publicity by making ridiculous claims. He knows a ton about the NBA, so while he’s

Definitely not your point. You’re not even making sense at this point.

If you really don’t understand the difference, you’re an idiot.

All your points are meaningless. You clearly originally implied that Durant made the right move because he wasn’t surrounded with any superstars in OKC. After being told that you’re an idiot, you then claimed that you meaned he never got *another* superstar because RW was actually drafted. After being told how absurd

That’s a logical fallacy to suggest that the only way to prove he got enough help is if they won a ring. You’re a dummy.

Oh, you’re an idiot AND dishonest, eh?

I mean, your comment is idiotic, right?

I originally thought the joke in your first paragraph was the fact he already played with a superstar, and then I realized you were serious. I also realized you're an idiot.

He can do what he wants, but he definitely didn't help his legacy.

Simmons and Bayless are not similar at all. Simmons is wrong constantly, but not intentionally so, and much of his writing was insanely popular, despite being much longer than most sports writing.
