You think the media has an ethical obligation to NOT show people cheering the slaughter of 3,000 innocent people?

“Well, or—the promise that you alone are righteous, and that God has ordained you to murder the rest of the world based on this righteousness, and that you’ve got sex slaves on earth and their equivalent in heaven, etc, etc.”

This is so incredibly idiotic, and over the top that it really seems like this must be someone who is intentionally trying to make college liberals seem like idiots.

He was strip sacked because Greg Robinson can’t play tackle in the NFL.

Right, a lot of them are actual European citizens, but let’s remember, terrorists are motivated by geopolitical realities, and not because of their religious belief system.

Expected response. Thanks.

Your first paragraph is arguing points that aren’t being made here, which, while convenient for you, isn’t exactly helpful or honest.

“Racism =/= Religion.”

Yes, it’s clear you don’t understand.

Now you’re trying to have it both ways.

So when someone does something racist, I’m sure you sit around saying, “Racism is just a scapegoat. If it wasn’t racism, it would be religion, or nationalism, or myriad other things.’ Or do you say, “fuck, this racism is really bad, and we should do what we can to end it.”

That’s my point: some belief systems are shittier than others because of what they cause someone to do. That doesn’t mean we give nationalism a pass. We call it out, and point out why it’s so dangerous.

“I’m not sure what this means...if someone is *acting* like a bigot, then they are a bigot. Just like if someone *acts* like a violent asshole, they’re a violent asshole.”

Also, some belief systems are more problematic than others. This seems wildly obvious, but I feel like it still needs to be pointed out in this discussion. Yes, Christianity and Islam are both incredibly problematic belief systems, as they’re memes that basically claim there is one true god, ask people to spread their

Do you make this same point when a Christian says they want to ban abortion? Or ban evolution being taught in schools? Or, let’s ask another question: when someone is a terrible bigot against Muslims, do you say, “well, sure, but he’s not really doing that because he believes all Muslims are terrorists, he does so

I don’t know if ‘blaming’ is the right word, but when people tell me that their actions stem from certain beliefs, I take them at their word. That wouldn’t mean that all Christians are bad, or that anything but a tiny fraction of Christians sympathize with the clan, but that’s a different topic.

Conspiracy theory time!!!!!

Yes, this proves that the Syrian refugees are not a serious threat, and it’s almost comical how the conservatives are painting them to be.

This is dumb. You shouldn’t be scared of any terrorism.

This a parody of a ridiculous Jezebel article, right?
