Ahh, yeah, you would need a Connect or another Sonos speaker connected to your TV/AVR like a soundbar or play:5 (can’t remember if play:3 has line-in).

You don’t need the Connect. That is to connect an existing audio system to your Sonos network. If you just want to Ones then that is all you need, they can connect straight to your Wi-Fi I believe. Or you can get a Bridge if you want to hardware something to your network.

Check your local Craigslist. I have bought a number of “new in box” Sonos speakers over the years from people who received them as a gift thinking they were a Bluetooth speaker. I have the original Soundbar, a Sub, and a pair of Play:3 speakers as surrounds and they work very well together. I’m completely satisfied

Well it’s neither of the ones in the pics, based on the wheels.

“When I become a parent.”

My son is 6 and I have been training to whoop his ass at Mario Kart my entire life, to which I am successful. I routinely dominate and when he asks me to go easy on him I just go harder. He’s gotta earn those W’s.

I’m both envious of you and sad for you. After years of following my kids through years of as many different sports as they wanted to play, my time on the sidelines is coming to a close (daughter is in college and son is sophomore in high school). The best part of my adult years has been coaching, informally helping

I blame the parents for letting their kids be so into video games. When I become a parent, I’m sure I’ll end up buying my kids a console, but they won’t be able to play it for more than an hour at a time and they’ll be forced to be active in all kinds of sports! And while they’re outside playing or at practice, I will

In closing, we only have about 3 weeks left

To be fair - let me preface by stating I work in affordable housing (tax credits/HUD/RD) - affordable housing misspends their (your/taxpayer) money on a disgusting level. They could make some very simple changes that would get them enough money to start building more complexes, but instead their answer is to bleed

There is a shocking amount of ignorance in this thread. I’ll just leave this here:

For people who already have a spare Echo lying around, the good news is that you don’t need to buy a whole new device to have access to Alexa’s kid-centric programming. Starting May 9th, parents can get FreeTime on Alexa for free, which includes the new parental dashboard and kid-centric responses, or pay $3 a

“One can coax high teens out of even a brodozer.”

Ugh I just imagined Johnny Depp in that role and what a trite piece of garbage that movie would have been.

I love my Hue’s. They work so much better than any other smart bulb I’ve tried. That said, I feel like they don’t get bright enough.

Hmm....I just got my second one and it says compatible with Amazon Echo and Google Home right on the box.

Uh what? I have this and mine does indeed support the Echo. You do not need the Elite to do so. You’ve been hoodwinked.

I just wish Apple Music had as nice of a curated playlist selection as Spotify. There’s a few to choose from but only 1/2 - 1/3 the selection.

I’ll evangelize all these Harmony posts. Love this thing. I basically haven’t touched the remote in the last two weeks I’ve had the hub. It was super easy to import my nearly decade-old bundle of devices and activities, and holy shit... I can’t give enough love to not having to point directly at my finicky receiver
