Fortunately for Intel, the current chip of choice for the extreme LN2 crowd is the AMD Bulldozer. While its not a great competitor to Intels Core i series, it can run insanely high clock rates. The current record is an AMD chip running 8.585 GHz. Though perhaps they're looking to change that?

FWIW this issue is most common with things like Pasta and Beans. The reason that these things start to boil over is the starches that occur in them make the water "sticky" and promote the formation of bubbles.
