i'm curious what you think: i've got a gaming setup using Fischer Audio FA-011s with Dolby Headphone. The sound is beautiful. And for open backed headphones they really bassy so sound-wise i'm all good. thing is, a good sub isnt about the sound, so much as the *feel* and lets face it, headphones wont make your pants

Headphones allow for superior positioning, and ambient sound doesnt bleed onto the mic. i live and game alone but i prefer an audiophile headset with Dolby Headphone and an Amp.

Off the bat, without even listening i can tell you two problems i can see with them:

they are anything but honest. this chip is mediocre at best and very disappointing to most people who have been waiting for it to release. AMD is usually the value king but Intel i5 2500K chip and many of the i7 chips outperform this chip in most real world workloads. they're trying to compare a metric that doesnt

Intel and AMD to not have parity in core to core performance. Intel has a pretty significant IOPS advantage. in the past AMD has tried to use the clock speed to make up for the difference. This chip is pretty bland actually. i WANTED this chip to kick ass, but unfortunatly an i5 2500K is a better value for money right

this is a sad day for AMD. this chip benches terribly! why is everyone so impressed? Compared to Sandy Bridge there's a good 40-50% advantage the i5 2500K enjoys over the FX-8150. This is a flop for AMD and heads will roll. dont just say "ooh 5GHz take my money!" look at the actual benchmarks people!

I didnt realize i was on your game-show. do i get a consolation prize?

do you have a link to actual data on production chips? so far all i've seen has been "engineering Samples" and dubious claims that are often proven fabricated, or at least denied by AMD

srry, just hyper sensitive and worn out from white-knighting for DICE.

did you settle on OS2/Warp?

the bigger problem is the emissions. While i love rotaries, they have notoriously bad emissions which makes them hard to bring to market.

This comment is full of win. you are so hearted.

A Mac *is* a PC. PC, as in Personal Computer is a thing that Apple pioneered.

I'm friends with P.

Funny, Island in the Sun was the most 'Weezer' track on that album.

also: the terms and devices like French Curves or 'Frecnhing in' have reason for their name, just sayin.

you know why French car design is better? Its because France is better at Democracy...

dont know if you caught this part
