He’s been in the top 40 for the last 254 weeks. Paying $7M was less about “getting his name out” than paying a relatively low price to check off a bucket list item.

That’s awesome to hear!
Totally this. You want a car so mundane and invisible that people will not even notice the car. If you get pulled over, the vehicle and its occupants should “tell the story” of where you’re going and why without any questions being asked.
If I were putting down my dollars on either this or a Model Y, I would still go with the Model Y. This thing looks more competently made, I prefer its look and the performance is comparable, but once you’ve taken a trip with AutoPilot it is hard to imagine spending $50k on a vehicle that doesn’t have it.
My guess is that the “flat seat” piece refers to the skateboard it sits on, allowing for a flat floor throughout the interior. To your point, I certainly hope this translates into sprawling, make out friendly seating.
Unfortunately, the word we were looking for is blockchain. We can only approve $50M for your first round of VC funding from SoftBank.
Realistically, we are reaching the end of the V8 era. With the new administration getting ready to rejoin the Paris climate agreement, now is probably the time to buy a new V8 (if that sort of thing is important to you).
They changed their name to Cerberus capital management in the mid 2000s.
I have never heard a Californian or New Yorker say either of these things. These sound like the behaviors of an 8th grader from Des Moines who went to Disneyland, or an Ohioan who just moved to Hoboken.
How do you like the AWD-e? Have you had a chance to give it in a try in the snow?
At the risk of sounding dramatic, I think Trumps loss in November and the quite literally saved this country from total disaster. We were right on the verge of this shit hot mess becoming normal.
There are certainly different requirements if a car is “client facing”.
Last night my partner and I watched the “Crack” documentary on Netflix, and it sparked a debate. “Who was the worse president; Trump or Reagan?”
It’s hard to think back four years and remember that there was a cautious optimism between election day and the inauguration that Trump would stop being Trump, and that the machinery of government built during the Obama years would keeps us going in the right direction. For me, the “American Carnage” inauguration…
Generally, what raises red flags for security clearance is when someone drives a car they can’t afford on their salary, or starts talking about expensive vacations or home renovations. The person driving an economy car, with good credit doesn’t present themselves as a risk to security.
This kills me. My mentors, who make upward of $300k, drove a 2002 Ranger, and 1998 Taurus respectively. Part of what I learned from them is that there is a significant difference between looking wealthy and building wealth. Debt is a trap that limits your decision making.
Lana is still one of my favorites when she digs deep. “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but i have it”, was one of my favorite songs of 2019 because it rang true. “Chemtrails Over the Country Club” belongs along with “High by the Beach” and “Cola” as lame singles.
My assumption is that the people involved with this tried to rip off the sound and branding of Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign. There is a good chance that creating a campaign aimed at children was consciously done as counter programming to news about the child separation policy.
The thing I can’t get away from, is the excuse from capital police leadership and their apologists that, “No one could have seen this coming.” I live in Portland, and since Trump was elected I have seen the Proud Boy’s up their presence, culminating in violent clashes with protestors this summer. On top of that, we…
In the before times, I was a bike commuter in the bay. I am a courteous rider and I have LEDs on my bike and helmet, along with a reflective jacket. I always obey traffic laws. Still, not a week went by where I didn’t have a close call with an inattentive or aggressive driver. Tesla and lifted pickup drivers were…
