“I deny the allegations against me, but I can’t respond to them in any credible way so I’ll just repeat my stance in the hopes that by continuing to dig my heels in that it will somehow deflect attention away from my unsalvagably bad take.”

Oh no, Kotaku isn’t volunteering to be the Nintendo Copyright Police! This surely means the end for the site.

What is it with you people. You just think games media should pretend that emulation doesn’t exist?

Wait, has John Walker himself promoted video game and anime sneakers? Or are you talking about advertisements made on kotaku? As far as I know the writing staff doesn’t have a say in what’s advertised.

Tug of war survivor, made me absolutely hate the game for life. Also:

I like Hollow Knight and appreciate it as a take on the Metroid formula, but dear god is that game overly long and sprawling at points. Sometimes I’m more in the mood for the tight-nit design of a traditional Metroid map/level.

No way. Today’s Harrison Ford is him at his most exhausted :p

It’s been reported in many YouTube reviews of the games. The entire physics engine is very different as it was rebuilt in unity instead of remastering the original games. It’s possible that these guys are super-fans and are simply too used to the original versions to adjust, but it pretty widely reported that the

Sucks that this isn’t getting a physical release.

To be honest I don’t really understand the facination with open-world games. Sure, there are some REALLY fun ones out there, but it also feels like it’s one of those words that makes people instantly froth at the mouth and slap the ‘masterpiece’ stamp on games instantly.

I still contend that Rogue Leader looked better than 99% of all GameCube and 90% of all Wii games and it was a launch title.

Akihabara is very touristy. It’s the area in Tokyo famous anime/manga/video game/electronic shops and stuff like maid cafes. It’s basically Mecca for Otakus.

Metroid Dread NOT a showstopper? I think we exist in different realities. Pretty much everyone went nuts at its reveal. 15 years of rumours, 19 years after Metroid 4. The shortest of YouTube searches will tell the tale. Yes, this was strong of Sony (and my dusty PS5 is looking for a disc to penetrate its drive), but

Lots of great sounding and looking stuff but the I’m assuming times exclusivity of KOTOR feels like one of those “this is mine now” dick moves that MSoft has also been pulling a lot of.

This isn’t explicitly stated but just about every other Red Dragon character we meet reacts to Spike along the lines of “I wish you hadn’t left” or “things would be different if you were still here” etc. Spike had everyone’s loyalty but didn’t give two shits about the power. Vicious wanted all of the power but had

Jake Bussey as Guile..

Totally happy I have a disc based, though only have a single “PS5” disc. The upgrades of PS4 discs are lost on a discless console. I love physical media; it’s easy to share with friends.

So I have at least 6 physical PS5 games (Rift Apart, Returnal, Demons Souls, Spider Man MM, Yakuza LaD, Hitman 3).

Well that’s dumb. I bought Ratchet and Clank, platinumed it, and then resold it for $50. But if throwing $50 into a void makes gaming better for you somehow, spend away, I suppose.
