For real.

Even though I don't play sports games, I completely agree with Owen. This generation has consistently disappointed in comparison to previous generations. HD visuals aside- I feel like most new games feature less content and innovation than titles of ten years ago. It's hard to get excited for the next generation of

You're right- it DOES feel like a 90's commercial, but maybe that's because it's one of the few high-quality, non-casual focused games to be marketed to all age groups. I think for a long time Nintendo has been focusing commercials on party play and casual titles- while many other games that get commercials are

I'd say it was disappointing- but I was pretty much expected to be disappointed.

Sony needs to deliver on this game before I even consider purchasing another console from them.

And they expect us to be excited for the next generation already... :(

I like the second-to-last artist's rendering because it looks like a Sega Master System :3

You mean the Genesis Aladdin. The SNES version was developed in Japan by Capcom :)

The quickest and most assured way to turn me off from a game is to spend the majority of the demo boasting about "social" features. I play games to get away from people.

I admit that the early Killzone 2 (the one that turned out to be pre-rendered) demo for the PS3 unveil back in 2005 was impressive. However, the game we got 3 and a half years later was pretty dull. The visuals were impressive, but it's not the kind of game I would ever return to. I never even bothered with the

Yup. Graphical capabilities are useless without amazing game design and/or well developed art direction. So many Gears/Uncharted clones as well as too many FPS games this generation prove that not enough game makers have what it takes to push the envelope when it comes to gameplay (or even presentation). Until I see

I think I'll just wait 'til the 26th.

Now playing

Gunstar Heroes. Green's stage, obviously.

No way. In addition to the extra stage, the MegaDrive/Genesis version doesn't have continues like the arcade version. This player also played smart and avoided riding the slow-moving dragons which can obviously slow you down and leave you vulnerable to dash attacks as well getting numerous enemies to kill themselves

That doesn't explain why the aliens shuffle around like Mr. Burns :)

YES. YES. YES. YES. YES.

I'm actually interested in this. Get rid of the bullshit motion controls (that's why I never bought the Wii version) and this could be a great game (and I haven't touched my 3DS in over 6 months).

I wish I could agree with you. I haven't touched mine since last fall, and most of the best games could have just as easily succeeded on the DS Lite. Maybe I'll just end up buying a single game every year for the thing. At this point I can't say I have any positive feelings about the system. It exists. I have one. But

This game looks boring as hell :)
