I noticed it :)
I noticed it :)
No U. ;)
Ah, I see. Well it appears that this game is actually a hit- so there's a good chance that they'll actually produce a second run- and maybe it'll even see a price drop in a few months if it keeps selling. It's definitely worth playing if you're a fan of the genre- but I don't think this title is likely to see a port…
Sure, I understand. And I agree that there were likely several other parties interested in a high-quality action game like Bayonetta 2 is sure to be- BUT I also have a feeling that none of the other interested parties were willing to provide as much backing for said project as Nintendo, and that's probably why it…
Yeah I know- it was written by the guys at Human (or whatever their studio is called now- where Suda 51 got his start) but the rest of the game was designed by Platinum in a serious mood that matched the story of the game- not the typical over-the-top action. So yeah- I think it certainly does illustrate that they can…
They make super-flashy action games not because it's all they know how to do- it's just that they chose to make those kind of games. Obviously you never played their DS RPG "Infinite Space". It was a beautiful, epic, dramatic adventure. Hypothetically speaking (since no one is actually expecting anything to come of…
So it's all the talent. Some of the lower-standing staff obviously had to stay with Capcom because they couldn't afford the financial hardship of walking away from their paycheck/benefits at Capcom. When the majority of Clover left to form Seeds- they were a totally independent development studio with no financial…
It's not just "some people" from Clover- it's almost all the key developers/artists and many of the support staff. I don't care if you refuse to accept facts.
...Who became Platinum Games after Capcom closed their studio.
"Most of post-apocalypse Nevada is indistinguishable from pre-apocalypse Nevada."
Yes, I agree- if you read my comment, I made it clear that this isn't the way I want to see Platinum make a Darksiders game. I was just musing that if they ever did make one- it would probably be very good.
Because anyone who would complain about a remake of one of the best games ever is either an idiot or suffers from blunt head trauma. CoD is pretty passive entertainment and won't overwork his damaged brain.
It could still be a mostly serious adventure- remember, Platinum (specifically the creative team behind Bayonetta) were the guys behind Okami- arguably one of the best Zelda clones ever made :)
Clearly this is a divisive concept among fans (and is almost certainly never happening)- but I think it could be really awesome to see what a collaboration between Vigil and Platinum could be like. Afterall- the team at Platinum were the guys behind another famous Zelda-clone: Okami.
Forgiven :)
What a sad little man.
I think you're first guess is the most likely. Nintendo probably put up the biggest bid. Either way- Sega wasn't interested in publishing, and really, what do you expect them to do? Take the low bid just so you can have the game on your 360? That's unrealistic. I'm sorry that you're certain that you never want a Wii-U…
You really should give it a try. If you loved the earlier Devil May Cry games- Bayonetta is the logical evolution, and it improves on every single aspect of those games. Truly delightful to play. It's tough, but it teaches you how to play and rewards mastery with TONS of cool unlocks. One of the best action games of…
It doesn't seem likely, but if Nintendo decided to bankroll an enhanced port (handled by Platinum, themselves)- I would re-buy it for the Wii-U in a heartbeat!
I'm sure other companies were willing to step in and publish- but I'm sure Nintendo was willing to pay a lot more, so it went to them. In any case- it's long settled by now, so you might as well get used to it. By the time Bayonetta 2 comes out, the console will probably be a lot cheaper and there will certainly be a…
