You mean the old tech demo that had almost no environment, no A.I., and was really nothing more than Raiden and a table full of watermelons? Yeah- they totally RUINED TEH GAEM.

You mean the new MGS game that's currently being developed by Kojima? Yeah- they're way ahead of you. This is a spin-off action game. It's going to be awesome.
I can only assume you're talking about the new plot. Since this isn't a Metal Gear Solid game- they are exploring a new genre with this game. The ridiculous action and over-the-top violence are to be expected.
Any true MGS fan must have played MGS4 and would therefore remember that Raiden was exactly like this.
Actually the Genesis had a CPU that was more than twice as powerful as the one found in the SNES. The SNES had a more advanced sound chip and more available hardware effects (scaling/rotation) and a larger color palette.
The trademark dispute didn't stipulate that the system HAD to be named "Genesis" specifically. That's a ridiculous notion :D They specifically chose "Genesis" as the alternative for marketing purposes.
No U.
It was largely the marketing strategy that lead to strong sales in North America. Changing the name to "Genesis" was part of that marketing strategy.
I was being sarcastic. If anyone misunderstood his original comment, it's you.
I'm well aware of that. It was also Sega's choice to market the machine differently in America under a different name. Clearly they were doing something right, if sales have anything to say about it.

You think comparing a ROM hack bootleg of an SNES game made by fans for a different (older) console is how the victory of the 16-bit console wars should be decided? Let's see the superior SNES version of Sonic the Hedgehog before we pop the bubbly, ok?
I can understand and sympathize with both sides of this debate.
Ha- awesome! :D
But he can resell those games a few months later on ebay and get at least half of that money back (or more). You can't resell Steam games.
I'm playing it right now. I was expecting to dislike it (because it got so much praise when it came out, and because I generally don't like FPS games) but I'm absolutely loving it. I don't know if it's my favorite of the year, but I think it's probably in my top 5 and certainly the only AAA game that I felt was worth…
I never buy DLC- so whenever I see a game with aggressive DLC plans, I make sure to wait for a much cheaper used copy, and then I still don't buy the DLC. It's never worth it.

I've been scrolling down from the top and I'm shocked that fairy fountain is getting very little love :(
