I remember there was a really cool looking Akira pinball game that was supposed to come out on PS2. I don't think it ever came to America, and I don't know if it ever came out at all, but I always wanted to play it...

Pretty much.
Well said, sir. I just preordered a Wii U today (primarily for Bayonetta 2 and Pikmin 3). Considering going back and preordering a second one just to flip it :)
That was actually more sad than funny...
That sounds like more of an endorsement than a condemnation. The Dreamcast provided more awesome content in two years than most consoles can muster in five. But if you're the kind of person who can live with just having a single console per generation, I won't try to change your mind.
You were right on the money, and that's what I was predicting, too :D
Amazing. I was going to buy a Wii U anyway, but Bayonetta is one of my favorite games of the past few years. I can't wait to see what they produce for a sequel :D
I haven't seen Wreck-It Ralph yet, so I don't know whether or not what you say is true, but I wasn't comparing plots- just the general settings/characters.
Well when you break it down to it's basic parts, Toy Story has a very similar premise as Roger Rabbit, too. An all-star (toys instead of toons in this case) adventure revolving around a small number of new characters in a fictional world populated by old favorites. So technically you're right. Toy Story is the Roger…
I'm really stoked for this movie. Although being a video game fanatic and the fact that my best friend is a production designer on this project (he developed the Donkey Kong-inspired concept cabinet which we all saw this past summer) probably means I'm a little biased.
Oh man, I was planning on selling my 3DS, but if this game comes to North America, I'll definitely keep it. God I hate Nintendo for region locking the 3DS >:(
There are probably dozens of reasons why the series never became as big as Halo. For one thing, Xbox has branded itself as an FPS console for over a decade, now. A launch day FPS title from an unfamiliar franchise on a Playstation console was never going to have an easy time appealing to Halo fans (who probably…
Incredible. I want it so bad!
Yeah, they're kind of niche games. Mostly forgotten now, but at the time they came out, they were pretty well reviewed and could easily be found. I remember finding it at all the Blockbuster Videos near my house, so I rented it and then picked it up a few months later at a Toys R Us. I was 16 or 17 at the time- so I…
Those games were AWESOME.
I think "weird" is being interchanged with "Japanese" here. I think their emphasis on escapist, stylized adventures is largely an aesthetic choice made to deliver a more traditional game. In fact, even going back all the way to Pac-Man and Mario, these games are only weird on an aesthetic level, really. Some of the…
It seems like you just made his point better than he did :)
I absolutely agree. I'm just bummed that it got pushed back to next year :(
"Konami still cool! You pay later!" ;)
