You're right, there was an official release. Turns out it was a port of the Genesis game. It's identical except for the life bar and the music.

This looks awesome, and fun, and basically everything that isn't Lost Planet. But since Capcom is publishing it, I assume I'll probably have to import it :(

I can't remember the last time I bought a collector's edition. It's probably been at least 4 or 5 years. But I will probably make an exception for this game :)

You can make the comments thread the same way as they used to with the new extension/mod fix on chrome. It only works with the chrome browser, but it makes it easier to see all comments and follow discussions. Welcome to comments, and spread the word :)

get the new chrome mod/fix. it's free and it's awesome and it makes the comments thread the same way as they used to. You can still delete negative replies- but at least you can easily read and follow discussions! spread the word.

If you use chrome as your browser, you can download this free mod extension (made by Blue Tunic) and it pretty much fixes the comments and makes them viewable the old way.

If you use Chrome as your browser, you can use this awesome free mod (made by Kotaku commenter Blue Tunic) to fix the commenting system and put back to the old way (minus stars). It's fantastic.

Hey man, Blue Tunic made an awesome fix for the comments! it's only for Chrome, so you'll have to switch over to the Chrome browser in order to get it to work- but it makes the comments line up the same way they always used to :)

But which emulated version are you playing on your PC?

I LOL'd :)

Agreed. If Igarashi is Tim Burton in this silly Batman comparison, then Cox can only hope to be compared to Joel Schumacher.

Will do :)

The ego on this man is seriously stressing me out. I'm not even going to compare Batman films other than to say that both are good- but are vastly different. But trying to compare Lords of Shadow to classics like Dracula X, Symphony of the Night, or even Nintendo-era Castlevanias is as ridiculous as trying to compare

OMG- This is amazing! Thanks for sharing :D

I think that maybe depends on how old you were, and maybe whether or not you had a sibling. I was 8 when the Genesis came out, and I got one for Christmas. I was 10 by the time SNES came out, and I finally got an SNES when I turned 12, because I'd had a Genesis for so long that my parents we ok with me finally

I never had any problems with that game, strangely. I think it was actually a lot easier than Aladdin. And later Virgin-produced Disney games were even easier- I think when they finally branched off and became part of Disney Interactive Studios, they had a brief moment of excellence when they made a string of great

I have both in my old game cupboard right now. The SNES version is great, but it's a typical Capcom Disney platformer in every way (there were some exceptional Capcom Disney platformers, of course- but most of them felt very samey). It has the same pedestrian platforming and floaty jumping as you may remember from

rilly-rilly-rilly wanna Zigga-zig- HA!

I think I read a follow up article on Kotaku that confirmed Pikmin as a US launch title. I hope they were right :)
