Not gonna judge. Go nuts. Just don’t be the one driving everywhere with your foot resting on the brake just enough to keep your brake lights on 100% of the time (the tell-tale sign of the left-foot braker). That’s both annoying and not safe.

Mazda has previously mentioned intentions of using starter-alternators for mild hybrid setups on most/all their cars. We should start seeing it pretty soon.

You can definitely run into issues with intake and exhaust routing in a different package which can affect power levels. Especially when you’re going from a transverse to longitudinal configuration or vice-versa. Good example would be the ND1 Miatas getting the motor from the Mazda 3. Wasn’t enough room to route the

I actually tested this in the snow in my 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 back in the day. Driving with cruise control at about 20 mph, swerved side-to-side, I got stability control to kick in easily and it never cancelled cruise control. I’ll have to try it again this winter with my newer vehicles.

If you can’t decide, just get the Blueskysea B1W. Reliable, easy, works well, inexpensive. For $50 you can be protected while you keep looking, if necessary.

Parking outside someone’s house at night is not a crime. Sleeping in your car is not a crime (driving without wipers might be, though). Therefore they have no right to detain you. But it’s okay, you just go ahead and give up your rights. I’m sure it will be fine.

Yeah, it’s a good thing the courts have carved out those exemptions so police can bother you without probable cause as long as they’re bored enough.

I always imagined some kind of tiny kite could be dragged along at speed to produce this footage.

Yeah, that’s what we all say. And then jalops will buy 12 of them.. four years later, used. Mazda stopped giving a shit about enthusiasts years ago. Sucks for us, but.. it’s working for them.

I wonder if this dealer would have done a better job of helping this guy...

FYI, the previous (or current for us, I guess?) Fiesta ST has “sport mode” which is activated by pressing the “ESC OFF” button (you have to hold it down for 5 seconds to actually turn off ESC). It tightens throttle response and allows for more wheelspin.

Hopefully they put some walls and doors on it before they prove out this part of Torch’s article: “people here are passengers and/or cargo only — free to read or masturbate or whatever with no concern for driving at all.”

You should mention the torsion beam rear suspension so people can start fighting about that.

David Tracy is basically the reason why we have to put up with HOAs everywhere now.

Except those $5k deposits don’t even begin to cover development costs, tooling, etc. It’s probably more of a marketing proposition than anything, to be able to say x people or companies have put a deposit down.

There probably isn’t a 9mm load that would penetrate any of these. Even the hottest .45 ACP loads would penetrate less than typical 9mm loads, so that’s not going to get through it. Most any .223/5.56 rounds will make it through the thinnest one. These are probably made from relatively soft carbon steel that isn’t

More like GTA 2 at the time this occurred.

Impressive that the F-18 was able to keep oxygen flowing to the pilot long enough for him to pull that off.

How the fuck is it even possible for AM General to have trademarked HMMWV and Humvee to begin with? HMMWV was the designation created by the US Army during the competition for this vehicle in 1979 and “humvee” is simply how they came to pronounce it. AM General didn’t have anything even to do with it. I’m confused.
