The improvement in antifreeze solutions makes such a difference to the rust level in the cooling components. That used to be a huge problem.

I used to be all about flipping people off if they tailgated me or cut me off, etc. Now I just let things roll because in the last 30-ish years since I got my license road rage has gone from getting the bird back at you to this kind of shit. Ain’t worth it. Let the other idiot think they win - at least you can walk…
This is the society you get when you treat firearm ownership as an inalienable right, rather than a privilege with responsibilities.
Wow when is the last time an American car company was the #1 luxury car brand? :p
That might be a fun Question of the Day: What does the term “luxury” mean to you?
“More riders obviously means more bike repairs, but the problem is budget bikes are breaking too often too soon and aren’t actually repairable.”
Interesting, when I was riding bikes as a kid, the bikes proved more durable than my bones. (mid 2000s)
I like it. It doesn’t need a full restoration, just a ‘revival’. Sort the engine compartment out, change all the fluids and belts and whatnot. Deep clean it inside and out, then cut and polish the paint.
I don’t think anyone would buy it at significantly lower range. I would buy an EV that had 150 or so miles of range because I commute to work and that would be more than 2 days worth of driving for me.
blower motor frozen by the ice in the cowl? what sort of weird contraption of a car do you drive? Never heard of anything like that being even possible much less happening.
I don’t like it when people go on about a “lack of soul”, it’s so abstract and difficult to define it always comes across as “I don’t like this but don’t actually have a good reason.”
2019 is still basically new and any car with issues under 50k miles is unacceptable. I got a new car the same year, cheaper than any Tesla, and it’s actually had zero problems, not with door handles, electronics nor paint.
We should go easy on the police. They are critically under resourced. They really need military grade weaponry, armored vehicles and flunkies to ‘serve and protect’ the people. Who’s got time to find someone possibly in distress when there’s a person of color walking around town? /s
Every time I hear somebody suggest crowd sourcing an investigation, the first thing I think of is Sunil Tripathi.
*Raises hand* Motorcycling through Montana on I-90. Fuel tank hits Reserve. Next three exits were either “Ranch Access Only” or “No Services.” Went from “Reasonable and Proper” to 65mph ;)
1st. Gear. Autonomous driving is a nice party trick for the most part.
The comments are as expected. If this “do even try until everythig is perfect” translated a 100+ years ago would be something like, “unless you can drive a car all the way across the country and be able to go everywhere and never be more than a tank of a gas away from a gas station don’t build a car at all just take a…
Miatas also start at around $27k and a V60 starts at $41k.
Those stupid fucking wheels tell me everything I need to know about this car, and what they tell me is no dice.
If you lease your car, an EV isn’t going to be all that different. Sure, you won’t have oil changes, but you’re still going in for inspections, tire rotation and filter changes. Long term ownership means you won’t have to worry about a few additional things, but there are still tires, brakes, fluids and other stuff to…
