Thank you, I was about to pop in that my grandmother had a 76 Granada and it looked nothing like that.

counterpoint: the interior is easily the best part of this car.

Agreed.  But my perception of his objectivity and unbiased analysis is completely gone at this point, regardless if he gets into his lane or not.

Now playing

Munro is sucked so far into the Tesla hype that he’s got a serious case of “If it’s not Tesla, it’s craaaaaaap!

1st Gear: Did anyone else see Sandy Munro’s diatribe on Tesla AP chastising anyone questioning them? It basically was a “let the innovate company innovate” and “we are under attack from China’s manufacturing”. I have lost almost all respect for him at this point.

There probably no case where this will even out. Delivering very high load for short periods of time from the electric grid is incredibly expensive. And there’s no work around for that other than local battery storage and discharge to car. And that option is also very expense. Until batteries are damn near free it's

That’s not a reasonable comparison, though. Jim-Bob is explicitly breaking the law by drinking and driving, and can thus be held accountable.

Well given that value is subjective, yes, I can determine based on my dislike of this car that it’s not a car I’d purchase.

Remember, this is nice price or no dice, not “do I like this particular car or not”, which is what I see in the comments mostly.

I know cars generally last longer these days, and as a fleet car this should have received regular maintenance, but I can’t get behind the price at 179,000 miles.  No dice, I would do $3500.

Nah. What I see is a dirty, nuthin-special old Magnum, just like all the other Magnums out there. They didn’t even bother to clean this one up a tiny little bit. Shows you what they think of it too. No Dice, no way.

Just bought a 2017 3.0 MKZ a few weeks ago. It came with brand new all season tires which was disappointing. Really needs Summer tires, but I will never be able to talk the wife into replacing perfectly good tires. Even with AWD it doesn’t have nearly enough traction.

Who is this thing even for? I just don’t understand the point of this car.

Not really. Similar to the shipping container homes its not really that eco friendly to do this. At 80k you could have a small house built with regional materials. You could also get a traditional mobile home that’s larger and better equipped than these containers.

Challenge Accepted

Same here. I’m from that era, I HAVE NO DESIRE TO OWN ONE OF THESE CRAPCANS. My aunt wanted to sell me here ‘55 back in 1967 as I turned 16. I said no thanks. The 265 was barely running, seats were uncomfortable, it stopped better if you drug your feet and opened the vent windows backwards, and the ride was “drunk

“Has already rose?”

1st gear - it’s cute that people think EVs are simpler because they have fewer moving parts. At this point, the engine is the easy part of a car. 100+ years of refinement will do that. And it sure is going to be fun going from the oil wars to the rare earth wars. Sigh.

I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a car featured on NPOCP more than this one. And I’ve been here for years.
