I think its more a “I feel discriminated against” or “This makes me feel uncomfortable” that the author is decrying. Saying you feel like you are being discriminated against bears no weight unless you have proof to back it up. And if hurt feelings acts as a trump card for opposing opinions, we are no longer looking

I hate to say it, but i think any situation where a psychotic man has a gun, you can’t blame the police for being extra cautious. There are plenty of cases where police are too gung ho, but this is not one of them.
