There are many and I mean many Prii with their original batteries going back to the first releases in 1997. The batteries need to be replaced as often or less than most transmissions, or even engines in that case and they have dropped drastically in price for new factory batteries and less for refurbished (same as a

Give me a crack smoking, alcoholic mech to play on a Toronto map and you will have all my money, just go ahead and take it!

It has been done many times now, even with the hybrid unit in place, except with a ToyotaV8 instead of a Frankenstein swap.

From what I just read, apparently when you get to the 160mph+ area in that car, there can be significant speed reading errors, though, as I said above, there are many documented cases, and definitely with the Apex-i system independently monitoring the car, but that clearly aren't stock in that case.

Wasn't aware people were already spotting them, everything I read, from Worldcarf... to general news was saying otherwise. I wonder if anyone has managed to crash one yet.

With enough track, which I was lucky enough to have, I was in fact able to get it to that speed. There are many and I mean many documented reports of the SC400 hitting that speed, it was and still is a very well built car; but again, you have to have one of the non speed limited cars, either electronically or

So much fapping...

Try a used SC400, they have a great deal of potential and there is a market out there with aftermarket parts, hard to find, but out there and I know plenty. Everything from custom 2,000hp motors to carbon bodies and manual conversions with a crate supra 6sp tranny.

It is the i3 that has been taking orders and being supplied soon. The i8 isn't out yet, it is to start taking orders later this year with, I believe it was, a fall distribution. Toyota also owns a significant amount of Subaru and in the end, might just buy it out. They use both Subaru and Yamaha to tune their vehicles

Saw tons of them when I lived in the UK, those things can really take a corner. I was about to get one, but ended up moving back to Canada, that was on the top of my list, and very affordable, very, very cheap for what it was capable of.

Too well known, the cars they mentioned I would classify as true white whales, so rare and ubiquitous that most people wouldn't even know they existed.

4.1L 4 cylinder engine? Cue fapping...

Ever consider a used efficient sports car, like a, dare I say it, Miata? It might be as chick car, but you can sure butch her up. Also, you have the RX7 (quite cheap now) and used awd Audis, even 90's AWD Celicas, which still run great. I bought an SC400 as my first car, a 1992 produced in February, which meant that

Technically the i8 is an electric with a range extender, this does not necessarily transalate to a hybrid. The agreement also stipulated that Toyota would provide hybrid technology to BMW, which it would be doing as part of this. The i8 hasn't been released yet, it could be that they needed Toyota's help to get the

WTF? Seriously, WTF? I don't even understand...

I've never understood the excitement over the Golf R. You might as well get excited over a Civic Type-R, it's a FWD car with too much weight. I have in fact driven one, not just one, but several from several generations and never, not once, got excited in the least. It just lacks the difference a RWD setup would make;

Don't worry, as long as you don't drop dead, there will be plenty of time. We might hae a few decades that slow down in terms of car development and excitement, but if you look back into automotive history, there is always a comeback. A few years ago I remember seeing an article saying that we are in the new muscle

There's nothing wrong with it being a Scion, in fact, if they truly do want to make Scion a sports/youth brand, having both the FR-S and FT-1 in their brand would assist this goal. There was a lot of negitivity about Lexus when it was first started up, espcially considering that many of these vehicles were still sold

I read earlier today on a competitor's site that in fact it has been confirmed that Toyota will be developing the hybrid system for the Z4, while not receiving any support for any Toyota platform from BMW, at the moment. This means that if Toyota builds this car, it will be 100% and not influenced or developed out of

True, but you can stick an LS9 in that thing for that kind of money, heck, you can stick an LSX in that thing, plus labour. That includes the price of the car, tuneup and extra parts.
