There's always the subset of Deadspin commenters that love to say WAIT TIL THE JEZZIES GET A LOAD OF THIS about anything involving not being misogynistic.

Rogue makes absolutely mediocre beer. And yes, I would vote for myself, based purely on the preceding sentence.

Seriously, I don't even know why he's allowed allowed to be on Twitter.

I really don't get the MLS hate. Of course it's not as good as EPL or La Liga. As soon as either of those leagues puts a team in Portland, I'll probably attend a bunch of their games. Maybe it's because I'm not a hardcore soccer fan, but I can still enjoy the sense of community that comes along with going to Timbers

Your boss sounds like an asshole.

There's also all those wars we keep losing.

1, 2, 3, triple deke.

I agree. American exceptionalism is a load and patriotism/jingoism is distasteful at best and dangerous at worst, especially if you're not white.

Yeah, we don't get that so much, more things like a cab driver telling you how with Obama in charge it's the white man that's really held down now. Or at least, that's my experience. It makes for an uncomfortable ride.

I probably wasn't clear. I didn't mean to imply that Portland was on the same scale as the south ("the only real difference" wasn't entirely correct), but there are still a huge number of racist whites - just check the Facebook comments on any local news story with a hint of a racial aspect or even that's just about a
