I beg to differ on the YouTube walk through comment. Had I watched TLoU walk through rather than playing through the game, the sense of tension I had whilst sneaking around the infected, hoping not to alarm one of them, would have not been present.

That's how it functions, but that's not how they're marketing it. Which is the real problem. Who pays $50 for a single DLC package?
This is incorrect. For any games discounted with your PS+ subscription, you keep those games. Only the free games are rendered unavailable after discontinuation of service.
I knew with the recent uproar regarding this policy that it would change rather quickly. Good for them for listening, I suppose. Bad on them for trying it in the first place.
Agreed, looks pretty meh. I don't think it's coming to X1 though, oddly enough. At least, not yet.
I agree. Project CARS has some beautiful looking vehicle models, but the entire visual package that DriveClub is bringing is very impressive. The environments especially look spectacular, and I remember an interview with one of the members of the development team for DriveClub saying how obsessive they have been with…
With PS+ all you have to do is budget about $30 (during Black Friday Amazon sales) for an entire year's subscription. Wait for Black Friday to roll around, and if you feel like it go ahead and buy 2 years at a time.
Luckily for you, if you're a PS+ subscriber (which, you should be if you have a PS4), you get the game for free.
While you're watching the video, the red options bar at the bottom of the screen lets you choose between any of the players at any given time in the match, unless they're dead, of course. Make sure the annotate function is turned on while you're watching the video.
I think he's talking about the Google Play store.
Because development is long term game. It's a big arse ship on the open sea and it takes an incredible amount of time to make an about turn. We're seeing the results of that today: no major next gen games on the horizon, johnny-come-latelies like the new Borderlands game. The end result of publishers who had too…
By the time the PS4 came out TLoU hadn't even been out but for half a year. It was still selling like hotcakes, and they wanted that kind of guarantee for sales for their older system.
An increase in framerate and improvements in screen tearing would be nice for the in-game parts, but if you were noticing this during cutscenes there's something wrong. The cutscenes are all prerendered, and thus should not have problems with things like screen tearing and framerate.
I played through the game 3 to 4 times on my PS3 and I'm still going to pick up the PS4 version. I didn't get to spend as much time with the multiplayer component of the game, and so I'd like to put some time in there. But I will also play through the campaign a couple more times, because the story is that good and…
So, this means that EA has 2 Star Wars games in the works. I'm aware that DICE is working on the next Battlefront, iirc. This means Visceral is more than likely developing a third-person narrative-driven Star Wars experience, which I can only hope will fill in the gap that 1313 left behind.
Plus, as someone has already pointed out, if a console gamer is choosing, for example, a PS4 over a Wii U for its graphical advantage, that's justifiable.
I don't think anyone would argue that any console is going to have more technical capability than a PC. That's a given, and if you find someone trying to argue that they are quite naive.
I can't say much about Twin Snakes because I have never played it, but I can tell you that Metal Gear Solid for the original PlayStation is one of my fondest memories of gaming, ever. The voice acting, the characters, the storytelling, the gameplay (well, for today's standards the gameplay might not hold up well, but…
This is all speculation by Mr. Pachter. I don't believe Sony ever officially announced a dedicated PS4 version of The Last of Us, only the PS3 version streamed via PlayStation Now.
This argument is kind of silly. Over time Sony has invested in these multiple first and second party development studios, just like Microsoft has theirs. To just think that it's not fair that you can't play this game on any platform of your choosing is naive.
