I’m just gonna say... that Beetle on steelies and fat snow tires looks kinda badass.

Here’s how I break it down:

I hate to break it to you, but the Outback has quietly become a CUV. It’s no longer a lifted version of the Legacy Wagon. It’s got a raised roof. It’s a CUV.

But, isn’t it a crossover ?

You know, I have a close family friend who had to flee from Cuba when Castro came rolling through. The family that she still has in Cuba lives in squalor. She can’t bring money to them because the government takes it. I’ve heard her tell horror stories that she experienced first hand.

At the time, I was like, this must be the AC unit they use in the Crown Vic, in a much smaller vehicle...

The Aspire automatic had HVAC that would freeze your testicles in place if you gave it half a chance. Rather underrated car I dare say.

This is my answer to the “worst rental car you’ve ever had” question. It was a 3-speed Aspire.

When I heard it, it was the first time while watching the episode that I smiled.

I love cheap “honest” cars like these. That three speed auto sounds really horrible though. At least with a stick I can entertain myself a bit while going nowhere fast.

I’m sorry for the series of life-events that led up to you driving a ‘97 Aspire with a three speed auto. You have my condolences.

Almost every reply to you is about how wrong you are and how you should feel bad haha

I have one of these in my stable alongside my Miata, for daily driving. Lightly modded (KSport suspension, Mazdaspeed rear brace, 15x7 Enkei RPF1, 949 Racing forged aluminum lugnuts, DDMWorks short shifter, DDMWorks SRI) it’s a ton of fun. My vanity plate reads 4DRMX5 for extra giggles.

People think I’m nuts, but I

BULLSHIT.

Very cool, it was actually a hip car at the time. And you could always get the rear hatch that made it into a “wagon”.

Last week in Los Angeles Raphael and I tried to buy a $500 Craigslist Nissan Pulsar (non-Sportback, I am afraid) to drive around for the week of the auto show. The seller never got back to us. I want you to know that we tried, though.

Rally? IN MY OHIO!!?!?! I’m sure Southern Ohio means Southeast Ohio. So excited for this!!

In high school I had a 1995 Dodge Neon, and I drove it like stole it, with it's 3 speed automatic. I had 3 speeds! I was basically always redlining it. That was almost as fun as hooning around in the family Ford Aerostar. To figure out the top speed, I actually had to switch the digital gauge over to km/h since the
