I recently test drove the 1.0L while shopping for a commuter car. It was definitely fun in a slow car fast sort of way. The almost diesel like burble and turbo sounds were fun and I'm hearing that real world owners are seeing 43-45mpg hwy. The ST's are nice, but I'd only consider it if I was looking for one car…

Back in the late 80's I had a '76 Toyota Corolla wagon and my friend had a Mazda GLC and, like you said, we both 'drove them like we hated them' and, man, did we have fun in those slow little econoboxes.

That's the best part. Flat out just to make the car move is surprisingly fun.

Wrong. The fiesta gets a 1L three-cylinder ecoboost as an optional engine. The Fiesta ST gets a 1.6 ecoboost.

You can get the 1.0l ecoboost on the normal Fiesta.

Its a four door in India, and it is arguably the favorite car of India these days. Very nimble and fun to drive and ofcourse its always a manual on manic Indian roads!
