I’m not saying I don’t like the E30 M3, just that I don’t want to pay that much for one.

Yeah, I have a lot of dangerous opinions. For one thing the 318is is my favorite E30.

Hey Stef, are we gonna get a story on the Ferrari in GTE Am that beat everyone in both GTE classes except for Corvette?

Neutral: Sounds like VAG is chasing GM and Toyota with this new mindset. Granted they’ve been chasing them in sales numbers for a while so it makes sense they’d want to mimic them in how their brands work together.

The only good thing about this is it would make an excellent donor for a factory five car. That said it’s way too high. CP.

Well now I do. They made it sound like they were running this year. Oh well, there’s always next year.

Second place is a great finish for Dempsey Racing, especially when the GTE AM first place winner annihilated everyone short of Corvette Racing in the GTE classes.

Dear Corvette teams, the rest of us have all gotten together and decided between the sound of your cars and your mascot you scare the shit out of us. We will be attempting to take you out or at least slow you down. We realize this is likely futile. Sincerely, everyone else at Le Mans.

So you’re telling me a stock suspension on a street car is better than anything you could put on a car for getting faster around a track? I’m really confused why anyone spends money on aftermarket suspension if that’s the case, outside of stancebros that is. I never claimed the engine was worse but I also said the

If I don’t care about straight line speed and would put an aftermarket suspension on either of them then why would I care about the M3 over a 328i. You call me naive but you’ve yet to actually defend your attack on my opinion other than just say that I’m wrong. #SHOWYOURWORK

I know that the stock suspension of both models is inferior to what you can get on the aftermarket and I see no point in keeping a 20 year old car stock.

How about I rephrase that for you. It’s blatantly obvious I don’t care about straightline speed. You’re right!

Yeah, the stock suspension is better on the M but aftermarket suspension is better than both and after that the cars would be equal suspension wise. As for the power I don’t think it’s worth the premium. DEM MIRRORS DO...

This is very very true. He is a pretty good driver but he’s also told me that M3s just aren’t worth the money as it would gain him very little time if any.

Two cats per header. That’s pretty common.

Of course about US Spec. And yeah, guys I know buy 328 models that are in perfect condition for autocross track rats for under $2k all the time and for that type of racing you don’t really need to invest in the engine that much.

Hope they enjoy the view.

For the stuff I’m interested in, primarily autocross, the M3’s only big advantage is the suspension. Once you put in the kind of suspension you’d end up wanting both cars would be equal. That said there is definitely a market for the M3 over the 328 (track days, especially ones with long straights for one.) At the end
