By the time I was able to 1) get my phone out, 2) unlock it, 3) open the camera app, 4) start recording, 5) realize I was just taking photos instead of video, 6) switch over to video, 7) start recording again, the event would be over and my video would be shot in vertical mode.

Indeed, and the most important part of all this. The parachute on the plane is such an amazing and seemingly simple idea.

Fair point. Filming the event is not what I would do, but to each his own. Perhaps I am showing my age!

So....he kept filming during the rescue?  Bet that was not annoying to the rescuers.....

The “naysayers” being 1) rust, 2) project timeline and most recently 3) a CO2 monitor!

“It’s not meant for the masses, really. It’s for a very specific kind of buyer, someone who appreciates the craftsmanship at work here and doesn’t want to be in something as ubiquitous as a Porsche.”

Oh, they were bitching, they just never had a public forum with which they could magnify their voice. Thanks Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc....!

Who wore it best. Porsche Carrera GT or Pagani Huayra

There it is....similar situation over here. Always have a spare while I am working on the other one(s)!

Was this pic meant to show off the engine or show what it looks like broken down? Looks like tow straps attached and a blanket(?) thrown over the corner of the engine as if someone was working on it and then decided to take a picture. Given the state of the radio install I cannot imagine much (quality) work was done

“a” bicycle? N+1 is the rule. What did he second and third bike cost!

Its like dog years.

Depending on what it is made of I use a leather cleaner and a semi-stiff brush if it has been a while (or when I am cleaning my older aunts car). I follow the same practice for leather seats. It is amazing how much dirt and lotion buildup comes off. For periodic (every other week or as I think about it in my car),

I think you are missing the point (or the button!) Pushing buttons is not the issue. Finding the button without having to take your eyes off the road is. The main complaint people seemed to have with the touchscreens was the requirement to look at the screen to make selections as opposed to intuitively finding the

I had to enlarge the photo to see that row (column?) of buttons. I like the driver focused look of the interior but good lord, those buttons. And they look like ones you would actually want to use while driving....rear defrost, seat cooler/heater.....How are you supposed to intuitively find which one to push. What a

That almost sounds civil! We have jet skiers at all times of day. Skiing is still best in the morning hours though. Tubing and “surfing” are the afternoon sports. The massive wakes caused by the surf boats are the subject of my next outrage.

While they are admittedly fun, jet skis are most fun when you are being a complete a**hole on one with total disregard for other boaters. Therefore I hate them (unless I am on one). Seems not a summer goes by without a few jet ski -boat collisions. We never have boat-boat collisions. That only happens in the Navy.

Now playing

Shouldn’t all sports have that tag? I would (perhaps unsuccessfully) argue that drug testing in professional cycling is more intense than in other sports where the problem is just as bad (or perhaps worse)

Can confirm, you never really merge into traffic, it just sort of merges around you.

Agree on the stacking of cargo. Add a sliding rear cargo deck in and you have a winner as it does get harder to get items in and out when they are so deep in the back of the vehicle. My cousins 4-Runner has a sliding rear deck and it is fantastic. You lose a little cargo space but it makes life so much easier......
