Leaked marketing campaign
Such a great build. The fat that he did this is amazing, the fact that he did it in 3 weeks blows my mind. Great looking wagon.
I liked this quote better:
Like Stanley Roberts in San Fran. These guys are bigger than their local market now! Kinja is screwing me on the image post....
Anyone else read this headline as:
The street was straight and empty, so it wasn’t a huge deal, but still. It’s not worth getting pulled over, and there are always risks out of one’s control—like deer running onto the road or a blowout.
Tom, love reading your articles and they generally all boil down to “knowledge is power”. Through the acquisition of 8 cars I have found that salespeople have been, on average, over-eager to take advantage of you if you show any sign of weakness/knowledge gap. I am fortunate to live in the Atlanta market where I have…
Yep, my wife had one before we “upgraded” to the Odyssey. Now trying to convince her to go back to the CR-V. Like most Honda products, the CR-V did its anointed job without a lot of fanfare or pretense. When equipped with a 2" hitch and a cargo box it carried all my bikes and luggage for 4 on the annual pilgrimage…
It would be great if she did not respond and then asked them to verify the mail address they used.....then say she reads her email....then have the email get caught in the spam folder.....
Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche have long paved the road for taking their regular cars, going bonkers on them and then pricing at $1MM+ (or $2MM+..) to attract the “exclusive and discriminating” car buyer. Nissan is just testing those waters. Question is whether there is enough brand marque here to…
I am SHOCKED by the outcome of this test. I bet it would also beat a Ferrari Testarossa(!) from the late 80s!
Pretty sure that is part of the emergency fire exit.
Your take is “actually” the correct take. Some businesses and jobs cannot be saved in order to maintain the viability of the rest. We can try to blame evil corporations and greedy shareholders (which are both often legitimate gripes) but sometimes it comes down to a simple reduced demand = necessary job cuts to keep…
I think UCF fans would wholeheartedly agree with this approach!
Alternate headline “Amazon parachute turns out to be knapsack”.
heartwarming story
Throw in that Consumer Reports rates the GTI low on reliability as well. CR is also loved around here.....(although they do deserve some of the hate).
Yeah, I got the impression that a lot of “handwaves” were done throughout the design and funding of this. This seems like an alternative for the suburbanites that currently drive Timmy to/from lacrosse practice in their beefed up golf carts.....although those golf carts at least have more room for storage....
Can I applaud the effort but still not like the result? Get the fender flares re-worked and I think the overall appeal would go up dramatically.
