It’s an interesting quandary. There’s no value to leaving these things on the ocean floor, and these salvagers/treasure hunters have the means to recover them. At the same time, they should be able to work out a partnership with the governments to ensure historically significant items are preserved. I mean, a museum

It’s really too bad. This used to be a nice refuge for women who want a bit more substance.

What has happened to Jezebel? It feels like 25% of coverage is on the Kardashians and other celebrity-watching. There are plenty of other sources for this stuff - why on a feminist website?

Wasn’t that a Starbuck’s campaign last year?

I’m so sick of “awareness” campaigns. We’re all aware of domestic violence, breast cancer, etc. Stop pushing awareness and start pushing solutions and cures.

Thank you for the recommendation! this is a great gift for my husband, who is really fascinated by sanitation and toilets. I attached a little note “When I think of sewage, I think of you. Love, me.” And he’ll love it.

Baby Judith has become the most ridiculous prop though - that kid never cries and just gets passed around everyone in town. Err, all the WOMEN in town. She seems like everyone’s afterthought.

My husband is kind of amused by my thrifty ways, but he’s never really had to budget. I get so frustrated when he buys cereal that’s NOT ON SALE. We can afford it - we have too good incomes, but some of those habits are really ingrained. Seriously, who buys full-priced cereal?

I just posted a very similar comment! I kind of resent that my husband had so much handed to him - his parents paid for college and grandma paid for grad school. His first job was the one he got at 24. But I benefit too and his parents are lovely and generous so that’s nice. It just baffles me how they took care of so

I’m going to share something here I would never dare say to my husband:

Am I the only one who was kind of hoping Deanna WAS devouring Baby Judith?

He’s more useful than Father Gabriel!

Also, isn’t Denise a psychologist? Deanna could totally have those kids in therapy.

Speaking of liabilities, was I the only one kind of hoping that zombie Deanna was eating baby Judith? Just me?

I walk slowly now after a bad injury this year and airports are frightening - I get nearly run over :(

Huh, I didn’t know that. I must be thinking of other purple drinks because I think there’s some stereotype of black people with grape soda/drinks.

Huh, I didn’t know that! I thought it was just purple/grape drink.

It’s a stereotype of poor black people. Especially “purple drank.”

This. I HATED girl scouts and all the stupid artsy craftsy and etiquette stuff they got to do. I would have far rather learned to build a campfire and all the fun things boy scouts got to do.

Actually a lot of Christian groups have come out against the GOP’s refugee-bashing. Most of the groups that help re-settle refugees are religiously-based.
