“Marge vs. the Monorail” was in season four, so that hurts your argument for season three.

I think the Kids In The Hall reboot faired a lot better than With Bob and David. It felt more like a return to form. KITH was good on a sketch by sketch basis, but Mr. Show had to live up to the full episodes with linking format, and I think they really struggled for that reason.

It never reached the heights of the original Mr. Show (much as the rebooted Kids in the Hall on Amazon also failed to do), but there were brilliant sketches in it. I particularly liked the “Shangy” sketch (unfortunately truncated here before the best part, but it’s the best copy I can find on youtube). This is is even

Jesus, I can feel the smarm from your post despite the fact that no one calls them “chicken wings.”

I think this is misreading what they mean. Typically their console life cycles are 7 years. In April, the console will have been out for 3 and 1/2 years. That means it will officially be in the latter half, AKA the “latter stage” of its life cycle. Pretty straightforward. Nothing meaningful to see here.

To be honest the PS5 first party catalog, for a 5 year old system, when you take away the remakes and remasters, is... pretty anemic already without taking an entire year off. What actual 1st party / major exclusives are actually on the system right now? Returnal, FF7 Remake (which I consider an original title just

i gotta say i only hear the “i’m not sure about this guy telling this story” misgivings from people who haven’t seen the movie.

“Brighton Rock” w/ Richard Attenborough
“Key Largo” w/ Humphrey Bogart
Le Samouraï” w/ Alain Delon
“Sonatine” w/ Takeshi Kitano

They’re givin’ the high hat.

Goodfellas at number 1. Now go home and get your shine box

I think Goodfellas is better than the Godfathers. It’s one of the very few films where, if I’m flicking through the channels late at night and I see it, I know I will be watching it until the end.

There is also no planet where Bugsy is a better movie than Miller’s Crossing.

Not sure I buy “Boyz N the Hood” as a gangster movie. If you wanted something from that era, “New Jack City” is a better fit. “American Gangster” from a few years later was solid, if a little formulaic.

Also, “King of New York” is a goddamn masterpiece.

Casino???????

Did I miss “Casino” somewhere?

Oh look, another AV Club ranking where what should be #1 is listed as #2.

We were sitting on the beach in Gulf Shores Alabama and the question came up, if you sailed due South, what country would you hit? The answer is Mexico (Yucatan peninsula, well west of Cancun), and would miss South America entirely.

I think Red Headed Stranger is the essential Willie.

This is your 73rd best comment.

This is genuinely one of the most rancid, thoughtless articles in the history of the AV Club. It is antithetical to what this website used to be. G/O Media should do us a favor and shut the whole fucking thing down.
