Well said, I feel like this is a knee-jerk-reaction article. I thought the character was wince-worthy, but compared to the treatment other shows give gamers (I remember seeing a horrid NCIS clip a while back) this is pretty mild.

You just perfectly explained how that situation is a complete game, but no one liked it. Its removed from this conversation because it has no application.

"calling bullshit" doesn't count when its uninformed. You can't just say "bullshit" to something because you don't like it, it has to inherently have some level of unfairness or be incorrect.

He's not joking, he's a raging (and supposedly self-loathing) racist. I've been chatting for him for a while.

" paid for that disc and everything on it"

Don't give up because you can't argue it.

Yes, he definitely is a troll. I just reported him to gawker help desk. Hopefully he's now a super-banned troll. I'm shocked that someone can think those things and also have enough motor skills to type. I'm even more disturbed that we have some kind of common interest in games.

if you can accurately describe how I'm being ripped off, I will bow down to you as king of consumerism. Go on, attempt it.

I can sympathize with the accidentally insensitive thing, I bump into that with my wife on a monthly basis.

So every Asian guy you've met is either an uptight nerd, a pervert, or a kung fu master? Are you being serious?

Nice attempt to not sound like an insensitive ass, but your comment is still just something an insensitive ass would say.

I've seen several commercials with a black man married to a white woman.

White guy married to an Asian woman. We're redefining the expectations of the human race for the future! High fives all around.

No worries on only reading half. It (and this) is mostly rambling anyway...

Don't feed the troll.

So clearly there's a demographic out there. The most likely conclusion I see is that these ads are targeting that demographic, and people interested in or wanting to become a part of that demo.

Because software is not a physical object. Video games are arbitrary. They are entertainment designed and curated by the designers. Just like movies, books (well, kinda), any other entertainment, its not the place of the viewer to demand what is and is not considered the full vision.

Fine, live your life thinking something really stupid. Go ahead and accept that its okay that they take up your HDD space with content you can't access (something that actually IS inconvenient) but complain about how the disk (which would have left over space regardless) having extra locked content is a crime. Be an

White guy, Asian wife here.

but you're okay with having the content downloaded to your hard drive only to be locked away until you purchase it? Its okay that its stored and locked away in a safe on your hard drive, but its not okay that its on a disk? Isn't that a little silly?
