@Feetsthss: Ah I suppose that could work for some, but I quite often listen to music while I'm playing games so that didn't really function for me.

@Cupajo: I'll bite and say it gets A LOT more difficult. Totilo had only unlocked a few of the puzzles, from memory there's over a hundred, and they get crazy tough. Once you crack that one puzzle that takes half an hour to wrap your head around it's a really rewarding game.

@Azel: Had it a while ago, pretty sure the sounds can be turned off in a distant menu somewhere. But I had to do that EVERY time I launched the app, there was unfortunately no easily accessible global mute command.

I think your example of the boundaries in Half-Life 2 are an interesting point. I think, to me at least, that once the rules of the game universe that have been presented to me (e.g. some objects not being breakable, the player being able to carry 46 weapons), immersion is caused by a convincing fictional universe…

@Eternal: Definitely not shopped, I can tell by the pixels. I've also seen a few oversized "BRILLIANT"s placed in front of comically dressed small children in my time.
