Is it just me who thinks of Full Metal Jacket when I hear this phrase...

@bowen13: Unless any of them get real commercial licenses, it'll stay on PC.

@Chrysalis: It's a mighty attractive game, I thought I was in a pre-rendered cutscene until the game gave me control. Was blown away with it to be honest.

Fuck that, I'm not buying this game any more. I have been excited by this for a while now, but a game I own has the potential to kick me off and remove my save game if I decide to reset my router, Ubisoft can go screw themselves.

@Cid2k9: True, the MP stuff isn't great... But seeing enemies take a hit, stumble, and carry on going, then watching them slide into cover and take a few pot shots was definitely a real experience for me in the singleplayer. Part of that is down to the heavily scripted nature of the AI in CoD but it still blew me away.

@Cid2k9: Actually I thought the animation was pretty groundbreaking, it had some of the most lifelike looking animation work I've ever seen in a game, felt very immersive. But I agree, apart from that, there was nothing that really broke the mould.

@Eskobar: Yeah it's good to see Arkham Asylum made it for so many nominations. A game that clearly got a lot of love from its developers and one that deserves recognition!

Bring the Ghost Recon series back to its roots (tactics, large areas, the thrill of the plan/approach) and I will buy the next game. Keep it like the more recent titles and Ubisoft will not be getting my money.

Some more Bad Company 2 PC beta. Damn that game is good.

@Jurec: I take it back.

Finally, sense!

@JCDenton: There is an offline mode if you hate having to be connected to the Steam servers to play your games. I suppose the key difference between you and people who disagree is that you would prefer to have no client program involved when playing your games. I personally like the way Steam manages my games (plus I

@whitetar: I wouldn't call Braid's gameplay simplistic :P that game made my brain hurt.

I agree with her statement a lot. Games are definitely an artform, an arguably one of the most evocative. No other form of creative expression really allows the user to actually engage in the world that's been created as much as a medium where the player is constantly making choices that affect their experience.

Yay PC! /fanboy

@KillerOrca: But if you're white, male, and between 18-49, then chances are then Google did their job. Would you like to be showed old folk ads for heated blankets instead?

@linsalad: Master password is in there now. Love me some LastPass action :)
