FYI, just tried to take the commuter train from Baltimore to DC for the march. No go. The station was absolutely, completely swamped. I rode that line for years and never saw so many people. I’m sure many in the area were waiting for charter buses, but there was absolutely no way I was buying a ticket and getting on a

I think they’re informally separated. She basically vanished between the election and now, and every time he touches her in public she looks annoyed. And the thing about her not moving so Barron doesn’t have to change schools is lame. She just doesn’t want to live with him, and who can blame her?

How amazing of Hillary to look him straight in the eye and say, “no one will ever remember you.”

A con man is now President. That was just the beginning of the chicanery that the American people are about to be subjected to.

Trump has never suffered once in his life. Don’t expect it to start now even if he is in blatant violation of the law/constitution.

He never gets held accountable for anything, so I would guess he thinks he can get away with it yet again.

“...the US spent 54% of its discretionary budget on the military.”

tldr: needs more memes

Great blog, Albert, and perhaps an unintentional meta example of why we’re all so royally fucked.

He’s not even sworn in yet and has already had a number of instances of referring to any remotely hostile or adversarial coverage as fake and completely dismissing every single poll that says he isn’t beloved among the public by pointing to the fact that he won (with three million fewer votes than his opponent). Unless the US undergoes a massive fundamental shift in how economic activity is produced, the economy will most certainly suffer under your scenario. between 2/3 and 3/4 of GDP is consumer spending. When the middle class suffers, consumer spending lags, and drags the economy down with it.

I wish I had 1/4 of the faith in the fundamental goodness of people and hope that Barack Obama does. I used to be a more positive about it, but since the election it’s been incredibly difficult. I felt like I finally saw people’s true colors, people who I actually know who I thought were smarter and more

Grilling the nominees is just part of their job. That they are all doing a good job of it doesn’t necessarily mean they are looking at runs in 2020 (though I agree with you on Booker).

10/10 would vote for Al Franken. ETA also my home state senator Bennett (who I did vote for but have not always been super impressed with) is impressing me today.

I can’t listen because work, but watching this even without the sound was glorious. Watching his smile fade and then the fidgeting spoke volumes. At one point it looked like he might cry. I look forward to being able to listen to the audio later today.

tim kaine, al franken, murphy, bernie, bennet, elizabeth warren...

Betsy Devos and her family are hilariously evil

Translation: trump isn’t going to pretend to be nice. He’s also not going to actually be nice.
