The only eSports-related thing I watch is fighting games, and it’s pretty exciting moment-to-moment especially when you get into the top 8. If you’re actually in attendance the energy is incredible.

SF5's troubles notwithstanding, Capcom generally does a good job with their competitive scene as well.

From a competitive standpoint maybe. I was glad when they did it. I play exclusively QP and I don’t need two Hanzos and three Widows on one team.

I know the type because my dad was that way. We were well off, but it seems like he always felt we should’ve been rich and so he was always interested in all of those things too. He had a fascination with Donald Trump as well, and I think at that time they were still peddling that myth that he made himself a

This is such a no-brainer idea that I can only imagine it was too difficult for them to do so it was deprioritized. A dual screen setup is perfect for shooters and racing.

Holy shit he’s hot.

Unfortunately, American culture has taught people to idolize and revere rich people and that went into maximum overdrive in the 80's. It’s why Donald Trump is famous, why the basic plot of Ducktales didn’t seem weird or off-putting at the time, and why you remember Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous being a thing when

Yes

I played it last year, then kind of ran out of gas with it. There’s a lot of jank and it desperately needs some QoL enhancements, but I think the bones are there if they can figure that stuff out.

Had a chance to play this via a friend who works for Insomniac, and it truly is awesome. I cannot wait to dive into this one full time.

Less emphasis on stealth

These comments sections are always so fun. Half of the people are saying it’s the worst Star Wars show in existence, possibly the worst show ever and the other half are saying, very plainly, “I really enjoyed it, excited to see what’s next.”

Keller’s comp mode blog is indicative of that: He expounds on the benefits of open dialogue in one breath, and in the other undercuts that open dialogue with vague platitudes.

Eh, the character hasn’t been much fun to play since the changes were made for OW2. The gameplay loop with the translocator wasn’t really rewarding or fun, and what was fun about her in OW1 (perfect foil to ball and Reaper) wasn’t fun anymore with the single tank and 1-second special ability hack duration. The damage

I don’t really agree. To be fair, I came into the Sega game kind of late as I never owned one of their consoles prior to the Dreamcast. But man, the Dreamcast. What an awesome system. They used their IPs, they experimented (to mixed results), and I think they put together a great little console experience. There’s

What I meant was independent creatively. They’re still beholden to shareholders and all of that, but creatively they’re free to do whatever they want. If they were owned by another company that could change in a very big way, especially if that company is another video game company.

Huh. I’d love them to buy Nintendo. Nintendo is really shitty to its fans and won’t release any of their titles outside their platform, so it really can’t get any worse. (I also don’t see that merger ever getting approved).

Remember back when we were kids and we’d get that Fall TV Preview issue of TV Guide and get super excited about the new sitcoms and hospital/legal/soap opera dramas that were coming out?

Ordinarily I’d say it’s ridiculous that someone would make a credible death threat against a tech company for changing their price structure, but then I remembered this is America in 2023 and it’s impossible to rule anything out.

Hm? There’s been LGBT+ in Pokemon way back in Gen 1.
