John Lewis is a freaking hero and national treasure! He did amazing things in the 1960s to help African Americans register to vote. I hope that his influence will help increase voter registration and turn out among African American votes in Georgia, as well as anyone else who respects him.

There are a lot of black voters in Georgia (hello Atlanta Renaissance!) who will see his face and think he won’t represent him. Lewis carries a lot of weight.
She’s always come across bitter as hell and whatever issues she may have had during that time should have been dimmed by time. The fact that it has not definitely makes me believe the rumors that she’s difficult and maybe unhinged.
I know. I used to think they must have done her dirty, but over time she just comes across as relentlessly bitter.
