Tow truck drivers are celebrating as we speak

The ELR wasn’t a bad car. It was just overpriced.

This is easily the most interesting Jalopnik article of the year.

Great write up. Kudos on not being afraid to speak truth to power.

So, fun story. Growing up, we didn’t have central air and had a pile of window units (7-8) in the house. When something when wrong with one that dad couldn’t fix, he didn’t throw it away, and kept it around in the basement thinking that the freon had to be disposed of properly.

Sorry, I’m late. The original insight that got 60+mpg.

Polestar 2. I saw one yesterday in my neighborhood. Not my cup of tea (look like a small SUV) but that is where buyers go for and it does looks good on the street.

The tech center is in Warren, not Lansing...

The thing with performance, range, and charging infrastructure, though, is that Polestar doesn’t have to be better than Tesla: those factors just have to be good enough to the buyer. This is a great write up, Andy. I sincerely appreciate how you acknowledged it’s faults and how frankly pointless a vehicle this big is in a way that isn’t trying to shame someone for enjoying it. I personally have no drive to own one of these, but I totally get the appeal.

Where’s the gofundme ?

one edit suggested: it was not a Gladiator, but a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.

Wow, an actual brand new Tom article!

2nd Gear: They need to stop referring to them as reservations and call it a waiting list. A reservation comes with the expectation of a specific time and date, like a dinner or hotel reservation. If you don’t know when it will be available to you, you’re on waitlist - even if it doesn’t sound as fancy and exclusive as

Wait, this is sarcasm, right? Subaru getting praise for their interiors?
