I’m curious about the staying power of the car. After the 1st or 2nd year of production, will people have gotten tired because it isn’t special or unique enough (being a BMW CLAR vehicle underneath), or is it stylish and good enough to always wow people, and will other variants with more power help to keep it relevant

My uninformed take:

I don’t think Jalopnik covered it, but Toyota did quietly update the 2019 Prius...

Oh, for sure. At that point it would be up to Sony and Micro to write in their licensing agreements that 4K60 is the minimum for all titles.

I guess I’m thinking in terms of comparing it to Jaguar. Anandtech suggested the current Ryzen 2xxx chips are at least 4 times faster core-for-core.

True that it isn’t’ do or die. They have the money to keep the Xbox Division going for years, as evidence by the billions they are throwing around to buy up companies. But I’m thinking a lot in terms of how the base Xbox units perform, or don’t. I also think that “numbers” will be increasingly important as they try to

Keep in mind that the Xbox One X has a RX 480 (a 2016 era card) equivalent GPU and is doing close to 4K in several titles.

I would think with a mix of premium, entry, and streaming, they would cover a spread from $300~500; and with an “updated” PS4 super slim with a Ryzen CPU coming in at $200.

I agree with you. Navi is set to launch in a few months, so it’ll be ready for an early 2020 launch. People have also suggested that the delay of Navi’s launch is tied to manufacturing demand from Sony and Microsoft.

The lifespans issues you hear about are from enterprises that access the drives 24/7 or people who have early generation SSDs. A modern SSD in a consumer rig will take several decades before problems start to crop up. Even in enterprise solutions, modern SSDs can last a decade. The tech has come a looong way.

I’m more in the camp that sees what you eat as being the most significant contributor to longevity and overall health. Certainly exercise plays a role, but I’m convinced that avoiding salt, sugar, and saturated fats will get you further.

I don’t. Granted I’ve only listened to the English dub for Cowboy Bebop and can only imagine Cho delivering lines that are overly serious and dull. Granted, the only characters I’ve seen him play are Star Trek and White Castle. Not that he is a bad actor, but I would need to see him with the material.

Then stop getting trolled by them and chill. Those people know that when they write one tweet that 1000 people will retweet it and all cry about how pervasive of a problem it is because it now appears 1,000 times to hundreds of thousands of people.

I always pictured Spike being 6'5 and just super lithe and athletic. Jon Cho is 5'10 and I always picture him in White Castle, so I dunno what I think.

Very bland, but not necessarily offensive. The RAV 4 and blazer take that crown. But they’re going up against the CX-5 which I’m not sure any other automaker can top.

Yup, the car started to kick left (barely but on a narrow street it probably felt more serious than it was) he panicked because he didn’t want to clip a car, dumped the throttle, and then hit the brakes. Probably at the same time he over corrected. Everything you shouldn’t do, he did.

About input lag: Digital Foundry shows Stadia had a 166ms latency over a 200mb wireless connection; 188ms over 15mb connection. The Xbox One X had 145 ms latency over the same wired lan connection. The PC at 60 fps was 79ms.

So the “20,000" preorders Porsche has is for the sedan and not the crossover, right? I was under the impression the sedan was in limbo or wasn’t going to happen.

Wait, so is Porsche taking orders for an unrevealed sedan, or the cross turismo? Now I’m confused because I thought Iread that Porsche was skipping the sedan because the the crossover design would reach a wider audience.

Huh? I thought it was already shown:
