The last sentence of the final paragraph reminded me of the greatest tweet ever.

The whole point of the post is that the voting process works against the actual debate of “is this player good enough?” by forcing voters to kick that can down the road while trying to keep other players even eligible.

Eliminate the 10-player limit and the vote becomes about merit rather than the quirks of the process.

“Hey, why don’t I make this eggier?” is something that really rational people think all the time.

If someone tells more than 2 “inside jokes” at a wedding toast, he/she should be booed vociferously and removed from the microphone by force.

The central delusion of current America — people who make $50k see themselves as more aligned with those who make $500k than those who make $40k.

Drew getting mad at stuff is kind of his thing, I don’t think that’s a neg.

Except he IS mad. He’s explicitly saying he’s mad.

Me too.

“I learned to read!”

In his defense, I’m sure ESPN would hurl some gotcha questions at him, like “Which team do you want to win?” and “What sport is this?”

Honestly, you have no idea what you’re looking forward to. It won’t get rid of annoying elements of the fan base, and sustained mediocrity is the worst thing to sit through because it gives just enough hope but never pays off. You would be better off being really bad.

What is this?

Holy shit, Steph Curry refereed the 2006 finals?!

This isn’t the first time a hard “R” has gotten a white guy in trouble.

If you’re right that he asked for this then you’re right; it’s about a person who thinks he can still contribute to the success of an organization but wasn’t being given a chance to do that with his current organization so asked to be allowed to go do that at another one. I can’t tell if you’re saying this as though

He erased his own legacy here

A greater than 50% chance to win in a ten team league is an overwhelming favorite. The rest of the nine teams share a less than 50% chance. At least you know big words, though.
