The Democrats grilling the Price for HHS got a royal scolding from Orin Hatch for giving him a hard time today. He was upset...upset I say, over how unfair the Democrats questions were.

This, exactly. Great advice.
You should care when your president uses the press secretary to stand in front of the world and lie because his ego is so fragile he can’t stand being sub-par.
No, it doesn’t matter exactly what you say - they’ll record your call and your position on the issue in their system no matter what. The person answering the phone is not a legislative staffer; it’s an intern/staff assistant, so don’t be intimidated!
How many minutes do you spend talking about issues?
Part of me wants to be saddened by how petty this is. But a larger part of me is already saddened by the fact that we cannot take for granted any longer that our elected officials would naturally side with the truth over politically expedient lies.
Yes, there are. And we should poke and prod at every single one, regardless of size. If you let him get away with the small lies, he’ll be emboldened with the big ones.
Nobody gives a shit how many people attended either inauguration (except Trump of course).
If they’ll lie about something so obvious, with clear photographic proof, what will they lie about when we can’t see the truth?
Trump. Will. Not. Let. This. Go.
OMG I was joking when I said this should happen. I don’t even know what is life anymore.
I LOVE MY SENATORS!! I write to them often to express my opinions and their offices are always quick to respond. In fact, Merkley’s office was a big help in getting my husband here. And without a doubt, each time there’s a vote on an issue dear to my heart, they vote they way I want them to.
Yes. Those things are also going on. But Bannon is not before this committee - Mulvaney is. Forcing him to tacitly acknowledge the lies of his new boss for one brief moment does not stop the other work that needs to be done. Indeed, forcing these officials to confront the truth is itself worthwhile (as petty as this…
The ultimately point of this was to address this administration’s rampant bald-face lies and claims of “alternative facts”.
Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley after Mulvaney confirmed which was the bigger crowd:
Wyden has been absolutely grilling Price in the Senate Finance Committee today. It’s a good day to be an Oregonian. :) #proud
It’s important to call out the lies of the administration.
“And would you also conclude that this means that Donald Trump has a little tiny baby-dick, sir?”
Yay my senator! I’m sure Senator Wyden would have participated but he was busy hustling a Valium from someone.
I feel good about the direction this country is going in.
