This is pretty critical, I think. The fact that it’s over an otherwise “benign” or “cute” video makes it all the more important to call out the underlying social traps; their use, often unconscious, in such day-to-day trivialities is such a huge part of what makes them so ingrained, and thus so dangerous.

The dude who invented dynamite and spent his life industrializing and mass producing explosives got that special kind of rich where you can muse on humanitarian concepts without actually doing anything about it, beyond founding a prize in his name for the nebulous concept of peace in his will.

Steve Kull is probably right, but for some the anxiety over said potential changes can be motivating enough. I’m more worried that it might not be enough of a motivating factor to get people to change the WAY they vote.
