Yes the world loves only a mall crawler/poseur SUV/hatchback on stilts and not a true offroader as only a minority uses it for what its meant to be used for. 

I think you are forgetting the fact that tahoe is a true body on frame suv which can be optioned to be a true offroader instead of kia which is only a unibody awd crossover

But in person I found it to be smaller and less intimidating
