Regardless of what happens with this lawsuit, doesn’t this incident beg the question of whether this is a game of skill? The guy won that money because he had access to information that other people didn’t and was able to set an optimal line up whereas everyone else is guessing what that is.

Kudos to you for writing this. For all the hate they get, it’s worth pointing out that not all the additions to the special additions are terrible and some are actually good. Maybe in 20 years we’ll get an edition where fans can individually pick and choose which parts from the original and special editions they like…

Number one in that partial list is very telling. Sony has been doing that kind of thing for such a long time and I wonder what are all the factors they weigh when they make a decision like that. I know piracy is a concern but forcing consumers to use overpriced or poor performing technologies is not working for them.

I find it hard to believe there was a 11 percent decline in ratings because they enabled half-star increments. Netflix will eventually allow off-line downloads and this guy will be giving some bullshit reason when they do but the reason will be because of all the customers who don’t care enough about netflix originals…
