I liked the second movie as well, I don't understand the hate it gets.

I hated the Robocop reboot too.

I agree with everything you said, Bill owed Ramis more since Groundhog Day is routinely referenced as one of Bill's masterpieces.

The way you can prove that the hate for this film has been gender based?

I don't know what that is, but I'm not laughing.

In September of 1995 The Prophecy was released, it starred Elias Koteas, Christopher Walken and Virginia Madsen.

Well said.

I remember liking it when I watched it at the theater, and again when I watched it.

I always thought it was the experience in the theater with the CGI.

I remember seeing this movie opening night and I liked it. I liked how dark the comedy was but the movie theater I was in sure didn't.

Ha Bye Bye Love! I never thought I would see this much discussion on it.

I made the mistake of being bored enough to go see it opening weekend, I went to a theater that let me order a small pizza which was a bad idea considering how dark the movie ended up being.

Ugh that Poltergeist remake.

I love the one that pulled it's head off to reveal a small skull that just started screaming as it fell out of frame.

Yes! I say this every time someone slams Jackman, and it's always met with "ohh, I haven't seen that one."

Not only that, but he thinks we will all look back on it in 5 years and like it too, because this has now become about him being ahead of the curve, or something.

Rip Torn? Stephen Root? Jeff Garlin? Shane Black?

That's a really good point on The Force Awakens, they were making a loose remake of A New Hope but had the good sense to connect the movies and and also move forward.

One thing that seems to get lost, Rolfe does imply that if the original cast were coming back to hand off the legacy to a new cast, he would be fine with it and watch it.

You know what ruined my childhood? My father being an asshole.
