Great show and terrific news. Just one point about the article - if you’re German it’s neither an imported show, nor a subtitled one.

Why shouldn’t there be? Again as I said, in every adaptation there are changes and this should’ve been one of them. And if no mixed race then why not have two black couples, or two Asian ones or white ones. It’s all just a bit too Noah’s Arc meets Power Rangers.
“Interesting” is also how I’d put it. Or completely tasteless. Goths and punks are one thing, no problem with weird makeup on this side but that is just a complete mess and way over the top.
I thought this show started pretty strong - I was enjoying the acting, the writing, the music, the cinematography... pretty much everything was above average for a comic book adaptation and it seemed to really have a defined aesthetic identity, my only issue with it at that point being that all the adult couples were…
Seeing a lot Joel hate here. I actually think he’s a really well-developed character, first presented simply as a dick but then you find out there are actual deep reasons behind his behavior. His strong insecurities feel real and are common with men, especially those of us who fall in love with a woman they and/or…
The last scene made me think rather the former. Sure he was devastated to see her do so well what he couldn’t, and still he was also proud of her.
Wouldn’t that be unfair to less sexy, less funny and/or less whip smart women?
True.
Well, not to be a pedant but they did actually “lock her up” briefly, and she was charged and convicted thanks to a marvellous rant in front of the judge, which just goes to show you how tact is sometimes more important than brisket.
“If they think it, then you’ll be it.” <— a bit uncomfortably similar to a certain modern President’s motto. Perhaps just prefix with “if you tweet it” (then they’ll think it, and you’ll be it).
Wow, Alessandro Cortini and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith in an AV Club article, color me impressed! The Cortini album especially is absolutely in my top 10 for this year, though not quite as good as:
Such a great show!
Finally Wolverine and Luke Skywalker can have that claw vs lightsaber fight we all dreamed about!
In what way is it propaganda?
Haven’t read almost any of this as I don’t want so much as a hint of a spoiler for this movie. Having watched the teaser trailer and flicked through the Guardian’s review of it a few months back, I have the vague feeling this could be one of those few strange, daring and ambitious films that come out every couple of…
I feel like if USA cancels it, Netflix would pick it up immediately and it would get 5 times as much viewership there. This is exactly the type of show that would be a massive hit on Netflix - young-skewing, idiosyncratic, unconventional - and is completely unsuitable to getting high-ratings on traditional cable TV.
I feel like Darlene is probably in on this, with her and Dom deciding to tell thingybob about her plan to test whether he’s a mole.
Lovely to see Alice from The Magicians making a 2-second cameo as the “swinger”!
What the fuck happened to you Spock, yo ass used to be beautiful!
No they got the metric system there (or something else that actually makes sense)
